Better choice of the two,

No playalong is perfect but this one is better than the Jamey Aebersold project and those are the only two playalongs I could find of Hoagy Carmichael's work.
Amazon offers no preview sound samples but my assessment is this: Each tune has two tracks, one the melody (which lays out for solo sections where you can step in), and another with accompaniment only. The accompaniment way outshines the melody but this is to be expected on a playalong. The purpose is to make you sound good and that is what this playalong does very well. This playalong offers a lot of mileage for a beginner through intermediate player. Advanced players don't need a playalong, they need a band. Tempos are very easy, perhaps a bit slow. Hope you enjoy this version of Hoagy Carmichael's work.

Beautiful melodies, timeless songs, lot of fun to play. And good musicians on CD too.
