all the basic info in one place. a quick review that is easy to carry and is indexed for quick reference.

This is a very useful book. Chock-full of useful conversion tables, petrology tables, and other useful, easy to access geologic information, it is also a perfect size to bring with you in the field, and relatively durable with spiral binding. I would recommend it highly!

although my only reason for buying this book was because i needed it for school i will be keeping it as a source of information and what may become a the very minimun a hobby.

Good to have so much material that can fit in a field vest or pack. The varied contributors enhance the credibility of the information. The color is a nice touch, which is reflected in the price (not cheap).

This is very helpful handbook on geology, which I have been waiting for 25 years.The fourth edition looks more interesting than the previous one that I have had.I think I can take much advantage from this handbook for my career.
