The knife was exactly what I expected. It clipped easily to my life vest and remains solidly it it's case. However, when needed, it comes out of the case very quickly and easily. The product arrived very quickly and compared to other online retailers, was very reasonably priced.

Good knife for the purpose. Adequate friction locking system for the sheath. I used it in saltwater over the Thanksgiving Holiday and washed it off each time after coming out of the water. There are some small rust spots on it at the machined areas (cutting surfaces) but they have been removed. Just need to make sure it is cleaned after each use.

I've owned my River Shorty for a few years and it never leaves my PFD. I use it mostly for cutting rope and mono filament line (I hate that stuff!). I've swam with it a couple of times unexpectedly and it never came loose from the sheaf when I bounced off rocks. Buy with confidence.

This is a good light weight knife, I carry it on my upper arm when running (there are vicious dogs & ignorant dog owners in my town). It is very easy to get out of the holster.

unusual for gerber knives this one was rather dull-took some time and effort to make an edge. Nice sheath retention system 3 clicks to hold knife firmly in place. practical sheath.
