Very nice knife, well made and very light yet rugged. MADE IN THE USA in Portland Oregon. This is a great pocket knife and the blade is exactly 2 3/4" at it's longest point. Note: measured from the blade tip to the begining of the handle which is the legal blade length. The handle is exactly 3.5". The 2 3/4" blade means I can conceal it legally in most states (Check your local laws). This knife is not spring assisted and cannot be snapped open with your wrist, which makes some knives illegal in some states. However, I mastered opening it quickly with one hand with very little practice. You can't beat this knife for the price.

This little Gerber is just the ticket if you want to carry a knife, but do not want any extra weight for everyday running around. If I need to carry a large knife it will always be a SOG. They are incredible. But try this little guy out. Also makes a great gift for a friend.

I've had two of these knives (lost the first one) over the past 10 years. I originally bought it for sailing every weekend, which is why I chose the one-handed opening, serrated blade. A drawback for boat use, of course, is that there is no place to attach a lanyard. However, kept sharp, you can be confident it will do its job when needed. I still carry this knife every day as a pocket knife and still love it.
That being said, the $44.85 price is waay too high for this knife on Amazon. You can get it much cheaper (like half) at other sites - hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
