This product is very easy to use & handle provides perfect grip. It is small & easily portable. Very effective! I recommend this strongly to anyone

I have been a fan of the "Gerber EZ-Out" knife for several years and currently own 2 of them for use in the house and in our shop.

These are well made lock blade knives and hold an edge for a very long time. The blade can be opened one handed with a little practice.

It is a small knife, coming in at about 3" when closed and almost 5 1/2" when open. It is somewhat lighter then expected but is very sturdy.

Gerber makes a quality product and I highly recommend this knife!

great pocket knife - very sharp and serrated part of edge great for tough to cut items - this model was still made in USA last time I got (have purchased quite a few between losing them and getting for business use)- don't leave home w/o mine

It's not the best folder ever made, but this knife is one of my favorites, mainly because it is lightweight, great for general use, nicely balanced, and very convenient to carry. The E-Z Out Junior doesn't have any stubs or sharp edges to tear a pocket lining. The only thing that protrudes is the metal clip, which thus far has never caused any major damage.

True to its name, the knife can be easily opened with one hand. It takes very little force to swing out the blade, which locks smoothly in place. The blade release is located exactly where I like it, well back from the pivot point, in the rear section of the handle, where it is hard to operate by accident. The knife has held up quite well over the years, and the Krayton rubber inserts have not deteriorated, and are not sticky or soft. The slightly curved handle fits perfectly in my hand, and the slightly roughened finish, provides a nice grip. For a variety of reasons, the E-Z Out has become an old and trusted companion.

I took one of these to Afghanistan and it performed great. I used it on everything from opening letters, boxes, MREs, cutting 550 cord... The serrated edge cuts great and it kept it's edge to this day. At the PX they had a small sheath that fit this small knife perfectly and I was able to keep it on a 1.75" belt at all times during my deployments. The only "knife" I was issued was a dull bayonet, so having this knife was a great asset.

I agree with everything positive said in the other reviews. However, the ergonomics of trying to open the blade one-handed are not terrific. It can be done and gets better with practice but is never smooth and quick. If you've ever opened a one-hander with a thumb stud, this will seem primitive by comparison. The lightness of the knife overall is great. It can even be clipped to athletic wear for trail running through the forest and doesn't create a problem.

I received the wrong blade. Contacted the company directly they immediately apoligized and sent another one. Allowing me to keep the one that was sent in error.

I love this knife, it is a great little knife for $20.00
