Toughened up after receiving feedback from military users, the Gerber 07550G Multi-Plier 600 now features Gerber's patented replaceable tungsten carbide wire cutters. When the cutters become dull or misshapen simply rotate the tungsten carbide cutters 120 degrees and you’ve got yourself a good-as-new wire cutter. After three rotations, the entire cutter can be replaced. It's constructed of high-quality stainless steel with a black oxide coating to prevent corrosion, and it includes Gerber's patented one-handed opening pliers. The Multi-Plier measures 6.61 inches overall when opened, 5.04 inches when closed, and it weighs 9 ounces. It's complemented by a ballistic nylon sheath. The 07550G Needlenose Multi-Plier 600 is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, and it offers 14 fully locking components:

This is a FANTASTIC tool!! I am a professional firefighter and was in need of a multi-tool. I had a Gerber in the past but I had lost in on a call and I was in the market for a replacement. This one was by far the best option, with one-hand opening and replacement carbide cutters I am sure to get years of use out of it. It opens easily, the tools open up with little effort and the cutters are sharp. Not to mention, the all black finish just makes it look great.

I used these multi-pliers everyday when I worked as an Electronics Technician on Heavy-rail commuter trains.
The strippers and cutters are more than adequate and the pliers themselves are very sturdy.
Great for when the tool bag is not handy and you have a terminal to tighten.
2 years of industrial use and they still look like new.
Can't use them where I work now because all tools are controlled, but I do miss them!

I've recently purchased this tool and I think it's great. It is very easy to open with one hand and all the tools lock in place to prevent them closing on your fingers. The black oxide finish is solid and does not scratch off easily. The finish on my tool does not rub off like a few of the previous posts state. I'm a outdoorsman and constantly use this thing for camping, hunting, cycling, and riding dirtbikes. I find its uses are endless. Hope this helps.
