I received this tool for a Christmas present. It is my second Gerber. The other one works fine, but it lacked the locking tool feature. The locking tools work wonderfully, easy open, lock, and close. I use this tool everyday at work, and I mean everyday. It grips well and is very light. The tools are arranged well, and it is very sturdy. The pliers grip well and the cutter works flawlessly. I highly recommend this item to anyone that needs a multitool.

This is a basic multi tool designed for people who need wire cutters. The screwdrivers are adequate, but do not have the greatest bevel. The black plastic in the handles will come off eventually. Also this tool (and the larger Legend 800) do not have a can opener. I own one of these and it is in the bottom of my tackle box....at least I think it's still there.

Purchased this tool for about 3 yrs ago. Also picked up the accessory Tool Kit with this which gives you a little more functionality.

Have used indoors and out with no problems. Its been dropped, kicked, etc. and has always worked fine. Have used the screw driver both for normal use as well as to pry things up and haven't had any breakage issues.

Re design ... Gerber multi tools have all the 'tools' fold out from the outside. This means when you open it up to use the pliers you have a flat surface against your hand when you grip it. To me this makes the Gerber tool more comfortable to use v. other other tools (eg, Leatherman) have the opposite approach.

Within a month of owning the Gerber multi-plier, the tip on the lg flat blade screwdriver broke off under NORMAL USE. No other problems in the last 6 yrs of usage.
