Like its larger sibling, the Gerber 22-01967 Mini Covert gets quicker with Gerber's F.A.S.T. assisted opening technology. Using Gerber's proprietary forward action spring technology--or F.A.S.T.--it delivers one-hand opening for quick deployment of the titanium-coated blade. Slim and sleek to carry, the Mini Covert has a 2.9-inch blade that's constructed of stainless steel with a titanium coating for excellent corrosion resistance. The G-10 handle gives you a tacky grip in any condition. The Mini Covert folder measures 6.85 inches when open and 3.95 inches when closed, and it weighs 3.2 ounces. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

The Gerber Mini Covert knife seems to be well-made and has a sharp edge. It's style is just what it should be to be "covert." I am a little disappointed in the opening assist mechanism because it's hard for me to start the process with only the thumb tab. Most of the time, the blade swings up only to hit one of my other fingers and stop the locking action. Also, I had to lubricate the locking tab with some light machine oil to make it operate smoothly. I really like the knife, but it's not as easy to use as I had hoped it would be.

Gerber quality has slipped,

I bought this knife and, frankly, loved it. The "quick-draw" feature is great and works well for me; the size and design were just what I wanted. HOWEVER, the tiny screws come loose after only a couple months of light use. I haven't used the knife for five months now because the sides slide around - I don't have a small enough tool to tighten them. I'd assume that this were a fluke, had it not also happened to a couple of acquaintances of mine. One of the other guy's screws actually fell out and Gerber sent him some new ones. These are not issues that a quality knife should have. The features of the knife save it from just one star.

I AM A HUGE GERBER FAN BUT......When it comes to this covert knife the looks are great it is built well however Gerber really did not think this through. This particular knife design comes in 3 styles auto, fast, and folder I own all 3 (in F A ST) however the styles are all identical it is the sizes that are the problem. the smallest is a little to small at just over 6" the medium is TOO BIG and uncomfortable at over 8" and the large one is ridiculously big at over 10" I don't know who this blade is made for? its like the three bears of knifes, the size they need to be is just one in between the small and medium around 7" don't waste your money the size of these knifes are all wrong very disappointing indeed!
