Gerber Remix sliding lock...Fail.,
This review is from: Gerber 22-01968 Remix Clip Folder Knife with Fine Edge (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased the fine edge and serrated edge Remix and found that the locking mechanism is prone to failure.
If interested, see my video review under the serrated edge Remix comments section.

I like the knife for the most part, but I do not advise buying until Gerber fixes the way it locks! The plastic in the spine bends and fails if any rope cutting force is applied. Love the edge and the way it feels that I give 5 stars but Locking is a complete 0. Suggest fixed blade version of this knife if you must have. I recommend Gerber trades Either the plastic in the spine with stainless or aluminum or redesigns with lever lock back which would make it easier to open.

An excellent knife, but...,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I got the knife in the projected time frame, but when I got it, despite the thorough packaging, it was somehow dotted with tiny amounts of rust. I mean, it's a good knife and all, and the rust hasn't spread, it's just... there. Maybe it was an off-balance mix, resulting in an alloy that wasn't stainless everywhere. Who knows? I kept it, though, since it looked sound, and it seems to be doing just what it was made to do. No complaints about the durability, and it's not very hard to clean it (just use a Q-tip on the inside, and it's fine). The ring grip might take a bit of getting used to, but it's very comfortable once you're used to it.
