The Gerber Answer 3.25 Tanto Drop Point knife is a medium sized tactical folder with quick opening F.A.S.T technology. Aluminum handles keep it lightweight and the textured inlays give it extra grip. Tanto shape for thrusting, blade length 3.30-Inch, open length 4.55-Inch and closed length 7.85-Inch. Gerber, A brand you can trust. In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades. This knife is big and heavy, to big to carry around in your pocket. It's thick (wide). Very hard to open with one hand. It has been retired to the tool box.

I bought this knife expecting Gerber quality. Big mistake. 1- the package was previously opened. 2- the release mechanism was the cheapest thing I've ever seen and did not work at all. This may have been a defect since the package was previously opened, but the quality of the mechanism was extremely cheap and well below expectations for a product like Gerber that boasts it's high quality. I returned this item and will not be buying a Gerber product. Will be buying an SOG or Kershaw most likely.

This knife is the best knife ive ever had. The only reason why i gave it a 4/5 is that it was extremely hard to open at first. Do not retire it to the tool box when you get it. Worth the $50 that i paid...
