I have always been a buck, kershaw and gerber knife guy. I love their products, they are sharp and well built. I have about 10 knives overall from these 3 manufacturers.

This is BY FAR the best knife i have ever owned. the price is not bad, it is a good sized blade, doesn't weight anything because of the composite handle (which has the BEST grip and feel that i have ever felt)

It is a SHARP blade, i can shave with it, if it came down to it. It is also very thick, which is great if you are rough with your knives. I use this day to day for all kinds of things, sawing, cutting, chopping etc. I havent had any damages to it, and it still looks great. It hasnt even lost its factory edge yet.

I bought this knife because Bear from the survival show mentioned it and said that it was one of his favorite knives. I know why now. It is a great knife.

If you are looking for a great knife that you can someday pass down to your kids, get it. Its that well built. (not to mention the lifetime warranty and lifetime sharpening from gerber)

I love the Gator II. I have had it for several years now and it has withstood Countless boy scout camp outs and a teen-aged guy putting it through it's paces. Not only has it been used as a knife, but it's heavy blade makes it easy to use as a hatchet when needed. It's locking steel blade make it all around a perfect knife, and it has held its edge for years. I usually sharpen it about once a year, but it's rare that it actually needs it. I also love the way that it fits in my hand with a stockier feel than some pocketknives. It comes with a nylon belt sheath although it is comfortable to carry in your pocket. 100% recommended.

This is an outstanding folding knife. I am never without it. It is on my belt, always.

This is the best knife that I have ever owned. I received them (I also purchased the Gator knife clip point fine) in the mail last Wednesday. I put them to use the very next day with my son. My son and I decided to hunt birds after work, so we only had a couple hours of light. We placed our 'new' Gerber Gators on to our respective belts, loaded our firearms and entered the woods. Within a short time we came across to VERY LARGE porcupines. The was sun was low, we felt that if we harvest them our bird hunting will be over for the night. We discussed how difficult it could be to skin a porcupine. Let alone two of them. We had never done this before. We went for it. THANK YOU GERBER!!! The knives exceeded my / our expectations. Not one quill entered my son's, or my body. The knives were very sharp and strong. Making field dressing those animals relatively effortless. Very easy to handle. A great grip. I most highly recommend this product/s to anyone that hunts.

I have had this knife for a few years, and it has never let me down. I have cleaned countless deer, and used it many many times. It has remained sharp and strong through all of the abuse that i could put it through. Wonderful knife!

Used the knife this year during hunting season. Although a little on the heavy side it handles very well and I like the feel when using it. Very sharp and sturdy. Very good knife for the money.
