first off i do not buy expensive knifes. that being said when i first bought this knife i thought it was great but after a month all of the srews started to come loose and the blade was very loose i tried to tighten the screws (with the right size tip)and they stripped and did not tighten the blade and the whole frame was loose as well. i would look at some of the kershaw's cheaper line up.

The knife is very sharp and fast opening, looks spring loaded, but like any good tool wares down, this is my second one, love it

Great Tanto blade knife for the money. I purchased 3 of these, 2 of which I gave away as gifts. I carry this knife daily, and couldn't be happier. As said in another review, the thumb studs are pretty worthless since they touch the frame but other then that it is a good knife.

If your a knife snob, then this probably isn't the knife for you, but if that's the case is there really a $20 knife that is? However if your just looking for a good knife to carry daily then this is a good choice.

My one complaint is that the clip on the knife has oil, or grime on the underside. To this day, 3 months later I will randomly find a black stain from the clip on my pants.

This knife is ver sharp straight out of the box. It is only easy to open one handed if you use the flipper on the knife and flick it out hard, which is ok. But, the dual thumb studs are almost impossible to use if the knife is completely closed, because they touch the edge of the frame. So u have to open it a little bit with the flipper or just flip it out with your wrist using the flipper like I do. It's a very nice knife anyway.

I bought this knife from target 2 years ago. I used it as an EDC knife but then i noticed that the lock was flimsy. to test how flimsy. I hit it on a rock. the lock failed right away. after this i went to cut a box and the lock failed again, this time almost cutting the tip of my finger off. About a month back i was stabbing foam for combat training and i failed again, this time cutting the knuckle of my pinky. Ii will never use another Gerber knife in my lifetime. (Shannon's Son)
