The knife was a bit of a dissapointment.

The blade wasn't ground correctly and had small point as the edge curved up to the tip. The edge was ruffly sharpened, looked like 120 grit. I you're expecting a polished edge or blade, this knife will not come with this feature. However the blade was fairly sharp. To be useful mine will have to be reground, honed, this polished.

The folding locking mechanism worked well. The blade when opened and locked is stiff with little to no play. This is probably the best feature of the knife.

The is a very small knife, a mini knife. The entire knife when opened was about the size of about half of a dollar bill.

Also, the descrition says the knife is made in the usa, but this is not true. That back of package clearly says it is "Made In China" Personally, I wouldn't have bought the knife at any price knowing it was made in China. Considering this fact, I would put the value of this knife around $2-4.00 Any value from this being a commemorative product is lost being made in china in my opinion.

I do not know why Amazon does not include the knife size in the description. This knife has a puny 1.75" blade. It is useful as a letter opener or box cutter, but not much else.

FYI...The specs on this knife aren't exactly right. The weight and other specifics provided indicate it's the LST (weight 1.2 oz) but no length is provided. When it arrived I realized it's the Ultralight LST (about half the size). The price difference is pretty slight between the two but I've had an LST for years and it's been sharpened away to a nub. I thought for under 7 bucks this was a great time to get a replacement. I was very disappointed when I opened the box to reveal the Ultralight model. Return shipping is about half what I paid for the knife so I might as well just hang onto it.

The knife is made in America. That was important to me. The packaging it came in is from China. Great collectors gift for someone who likes knives.

I was happy to buy this for my father, who is very hard to shop for. He is a knife collector so adding this to his collection was nice. Be aware that it is very very small.

I own several Gerber knives and they have all been excellent. This one is the perfect size to carry in your pocket or keep in your vehicle. Built to last, solid and strong. It's also a great gift idea for the holidays.

I purchased this as a gift and was very pleased with it for the price.

A 70th anniversary knife, excellent precision made knife. Will be handed down to whomever as a collectors item..
