Ok, if you are looking for a flashlight to use as a duty light for traffic stops and building searches then this is probably not what you are looking for. It would certainly be adequate for those tasks, however, when your life is on the line, pay the premium for a good streamlight or surefire.

With all that out of the way. This is very good, surprisingly bright LED flashlight than runs on standard AA batteries which is a big plus. I am not a big fan of the cheap little carrying case, however, you are better off throwing a lanyard around it anyway. This is an excellent light for camping, house tasks and the like. I have not had any issues with the rubber switch and find that it works very well.

This flashlight is bright enough to see but dim enough to be unobtrusive. It's aircraft aluminum design makes it virtually invulnerable to dropping, soaking or any kind of abuse. it has an extremely long battery life around 14 hours solid use. I wouldn't recommend this flashlight if you want something like a headlamp but it does well as a personal work light.

After a catalogue of problems with Maglite AA LED torches, our service team switched to Gerber Tritacs.
The build quality is excellent with a solid feel and hard matte anodised finish. On/Off is by a rubber push button on the tail. This can be used for signalling. Battery tail-cap has an O ring seal. The head and tail have flats to improve grip and prevent rolling.
Battery life is amazing - months rather than days between battery changes.
Light output is in the 'medium' range; this is NOT a super bright tactical Lithium cell kind of torch (hence the long battery life). However the light output is easily adequate for general use. In daylight the LED output fails to amaze, but in the dark they have surprising range and a nice light quality and (fixed) beam pattern.
We've had eight of them for nearly two years now and they are ALL working fine.
Highly recommended as a daily carry / general torch for those not wanting searchlight brightness.
They may also save you some money on batteries ;-)

Small and powerful.
Lightweight design does not roll away as it has faceted metal ends.
Light is bright white and is focused.
It really makes a tremendous amount of light for it's size.
The design and look are very sturdy and "tactical".
Rubbery power button does not feel as sturdy as the rest of the flashlight.

As with most Gerber-made products you can simply feel the quality built in to everything that bares their name. This light is no exception. Very bright white light from a sleek, stylish design. However, I have just one complaint. The light has no type of gripping system. As narrow as the body is there needs to be some sort of grips included, instead they have left off the grips completely and the light can easily slide from your hand. I concentrated more on not dropping it than I did actually testing it out for the first time. I love the light it produces, I love the Gerber name, I just wish that they had added grips so that you can hold on to it better. If not for this the light would have received 5 stars.

This light has excellent build quality, excellent illumination and comes with a good cordura nylon case. It even has a new shape that doesn't roll. However, I'm not enamored with the pushbutton on-off switch, as I have to try several times occasionally to turn the light on/off (the previous model base was twisted to turn the light on or off).

I bought this item as a tactical light for my mossberg 500a persuader..I was kinda skeptical at first due to the price but it seems to work great..not the brightest light I have ever seen but not the worst either..All in all a great buy..NOTE (I used this light along with the nebo protec universal shotgun and rifle clamp and they fit, and work great together)..
