An Ambitious Design,

I own three Gerber FAST, single-blade knives and use them considerably throughout a normal work day. They are a fantastic buy for the money. This one (Slate) held a lot of promise in its relatively unique design. At ~$45, it is also very affordable.
The bad news is that, despite its price, it isn't worth it. The blade wobbles in the liners when closed, does not lock completely when open and the locking mechanism does not function. I would prefer to pay more for a quality-produced knife than this Chinese manufactured disappointment. Amazon was their usual stellar self in getting the knife to me on-time and would have taken it back had I not pre-decided that I get what I pay for, therefore I keep what I bought. |
