So thin and not worth the money.

I washed once in safe detergent, dried, then wash and dried 2 more times with no soap.

We aren't using them as diapers but they make great burp clothes.

I like these diapers. They work great as diapers, burp cloths, and as an overnight bra pad/insert for nursing mamas.

I would recommend using the boil method to prep these diapers. They are not very absorbent until the oils in the cotton are removed. Do not boil/prep with other types of diapers. If using a dryer, do not use your dryer bar or other fabric softeners. Put white vinegar in when washing to improve softness and absorbency.

Method:
Wash these by themselves. We do two cycles- first a short cold cycle with baking soda, second is a hot short cycle with fragrance free detergent and vinegar in the rinse cycle (Downy Ball works for this). Dry on a clothes line or for a regular dryer cycle with no dryer sheets or bar.

THESE WILL SHRINK. As cotton items will. The hems and stitching hold up well which is why I like the Gerber brand.

They are a little bulkier in the center panel which is good when used as diaper. They are a little long for a newborn, but I fold about an inch and a half in the back and the front for a perfect fit inside of a Thirstees size one cover. This also helps avoid blow outs up baby's back.

I bought a 10pk (from Walmart). I have a 19 yr old and an almost 9 yr old am expecting a third child in a few weeks. Gerber cloth diapers used to make the BEST burp cloths ever. They were thick and durable and just perfect for the job. I was absolutely shocked to open these and find what I can only describe as gauze. I can't imagine they'd be good for anything at this point. Even after washing, they're scratchy and see through. What in the world happened? Gerber used to make such a great product! Very disappointing!

These are okay...As a first time mom I wasn't really sure what I wanted or what I was going to like/dislike. I decided to get a pack of these and 10 prefolds from Cotton Babies. What a HUGE difference. These are super thin and my twin girls soak right through them (I use them as spit up rags.) The Cotton Babies are thick and super absorbent. I do like that these are a little smaller and don't take up so much space in my diaper bag, but won't be buying these again. Definitely sticking with prefolds from Cotton Babies.

I make burp cloths from them. They are just right for that use but would be too light for diaper use.

These were my go-to burp cloths when my middle child was a baby. What a difference 7 years makes... After just one wash they have pilled up and are beginning to unravel. Previously they were three ply throughout the whole diaper, now just the middle section has the extra padding. They soak through very quickly and are not cosmetically pleasing after a couple of uses. They got my money but I hope I can dissuade others from going to this previously well made product.

I purchased 2 packs of these to make into burp cloths. I later realized that these cloths were a lot thinner than the ones I purchased from Babies R Us. I looked back at the package label and they both said the same thing "Birdseye 3-ply cloth diapers". However, the ones purchased from Amazon had packaging about 1 1/2" thick. The ones from Babies R Us had packaging more than double that thickness. I went to Walmart, Kmart, and Target and noticed their 3-ply cloth diapers all were of the thicker packaging, maybe just a couple of dollars more.
Just go into the store and purchase these--make sure you look for the thicker package (they're at least 5" thick).
This is how thick it should look:

As a cloth diapering family, these are worthless as diapers. But they make the best cleaning rags for the house and car.

I can't even believe how horrible these are. I can't even believe how much they have decreased the product but still charge the same. I bought Gerber cloth diapers from walmart not long ago-I can't find them now so I tried these, same name 3ply prefold. Weill these are not the same at all! imagine 1/3 of what you used to get! these are so thin. I will be sending these back as they are competently useless!
