Great potty pants,
This review is from: Gerber Brand Training Pant (in vinyl bag) (Baby Product)
These are comfortable, easy to pull down, and really soft. They won't hold a big pee, but they will hold a small pee. They can also contain a poop as long as it is somewhat solid. They make my daughter feel wet so she recognizes when she goes and because they don't hold big pees, the pee will run down her leg and give more incentive to go potty.
Yes, my review is gross sounding, but you are looking at training pants. Get these. They are great and relatively cheap.

2T fit my 26 pound 25 month old perfect!!,

We haven't actually used this item yet, but I wanted to get some good sizing info out there!
My daughter is 25 months old, 35 inches tall, and weighs 26 pounds. Her thigh circumference measures 12 inches. The 2T size fits her absolutely perfectly. Not too tight on the thighs at all! I was initially going to buy the 3T because of some reviewers stating the thighs were way too tight. My daughter has some fairly chubby legs but these fit her just fine! Besides, you want the thighs to be somewhat snug anyway to help keep certain things in there if necessary. The material is very soft and comfy. The "absorbent" part seems like it would definitely help to hold some, obviously not a full bladder, but I didn't buy it to hold several piddles! I also bought the "Gerber 2 pack Waterproof Trainers 2T-3T (28-35 pounds)", (they didn't have the smaller size at the Target store I went to) just to put over the training pants for when we go out to help cut down on leaks. These are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too big!!! I think I could almost fit into them myself if the thigh holes were bigger!!! I don't know how even a 35 pounder could fill them out! I figured it was bigger to accommodate going over the training pant, but even so, way too big. I'm even doubting the smaller size (if it exists, I haven't looked yet) would be small enough! I might just get some vinyl diaper covers - probably slightly more expensive - but I want something that will fit under clothes over her cotton trainers. I'll update my review once we start using these for potty training in a couple of weeks. ****UPDATE**** Decided to just try them and see how well they did. My daughter loved them and looked so adorable wearing them! She did have an accident (both pee and poop) within about 20 minutes of having them on. It was a decent amount of pee so they didn't hold it all, but I was very impressed by how much it did! Only a few dribbles on the floor. Best part, my daughter knew she went, said "uh-oh" and grabbed my hand to run to the bathroom. I'm a little concerned about staining since she did poop in them too, but hopefully it'll come out in the wash with some stain removers. So far, so good! ****update***** Poo stains came out no problem. Just soaked them in plain water until I could get to them. When I sprayed them with water, the stains were almost gone. Then I used my stain remover, let it sit for about 30 minutes, then threw them in the wash and they came out as good as new! Also, since the layers are all sewn in, they do not shift or bunch anywhere! SO easy to care for!

I work at a daycare and I am a witness the pull-ups or any disposable training pants just drag potty training on forever because the kids don't really feel any discomfort nor do they care if the designs fade or not and many seem irritated on the bottom by whatever they use for the cool/feel and learns.
These training pants make them uncomfortable when they have an accident which is the point and therefore urge them to go the bathroom. It's more messy for us (the adults) to clean up BUT it's usually only for a little while (a few days to a couple of weeks at the most)if the child is truly ready for potty training versus months and months with pull-ups. Pull-ups are great for overnight/naps/long trips but that's it in my opinion. FOR EVERYONE HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THESE--They're located in the aisle with the onesies, infant blankets, etc. at Wal-mart, Target, K-mart, & Sears. Not sure why they don't put them with the toddler underwear. And you can always use rubber pants over them if you want to minimize the mess.

The best and fastest way to train your child. Pull ups take longer because they really don't feel the wetness. I have been running a child care for 30 years. Trained many toddlers of all ages. Every child is different. You can tell when child is ready. Does he or she get up from a nap dry? Just use the training pants. Only at naptime use pull ups. Also once you start training them don't stop. Unless he or she is not ready. You can tell if your child keeps every under wear soaked. These training pants are the best.

It's hard to find training pants other than the disposable kind so I was relieved to find the Gerber ones here on Amazon. Fit is true to size, snug without being tight. My opinion is that the cloth training pants are better for potty training than the disposable ones because the baby feels wetter, so it is more bothersome to them.

These are nice because they are not so thick. Perfect for my 27 pound 2 and a half year old. Perfect for potty training as it holds a little leakage.. however, won't hold as much as a diaper. It leaked all over her clothes for one accident, which was a good thing because it taught her how not to do that again :) good product

Advice to all parents that are potty training: don't use pullups for daytime! Use these! They are super thick and will relatively hold a small to normal size pee accident without getting anything too messy. And, the child will feel the wetness and let you know! No, they are not waterproof and will not hold big messes; however, unless you want to extend potty training by 6 months to a year, don't buy pullups! They are a waste of money for daytime and your child will see no difference in those or regular diapers. I still put my 27 mo old stepdaughter in a pull up at night but during the day these are wonderful. She pretty much had the routine down in less than a day but I keep her in these and just a top while around the house so she can easily and independently toilet herself. Even though most 18-24 mo clothing fits her well, I purchased the 3T training undies to make sure she can raise and lower the undies without any frustration and I'm glad I did. I would recommend the same to any parent who is potty training.

Very good option!,
This review is from: Gerber Brand Training Pant (in vinyl bag) (Baby Product)
I was able to pick up some of these as a good training option for my 2-1/2 year old. He's tall and skinny, but the 3Ts worked great. They're a little roomy, but stay up and the leg openings aren't super baggy. My favorite thing is that there is no exposed elastic...my son is sensitive to latex and I was facing having to make his training pants myself. After a couple pairs, the task seemed a bit daunting. These saved me a lot of sewing! I bought all they had at the store in his size!!
We jumped right into a potty training weekend. He can tell that he's wet immediately--not something that can happen with pull-ups. And they're absorbant enough that it takes a bit to soak through to the outer layer. These are a good option!!

My three year old daughter is tall and thin. She weighed 26 pounds at her last doctor's appt (last week). In her gymnastics class for three year olds, she looks to be about four inches taller than most. Due to chronic UTIs, potty training has had a few set backs, but we are finally making progress. She has some Hanna Andersson panties, but after a few accidents, we decided we needed some training panties first, and started with these. The Hanna panties are around 18 dollars for three pairs, and the training panties around 25, so I wanted to try this cheaper alternative. I ordered the 3T, and received a pink pair, a striped pair and a flowered pair, and they are cute, and the fabric is soft. However, they look a little like boy shorts (underwear sold for women that somewhat resemble tight, short legged boxers). And the big drawback, the legs are tight. As I said above, my daughter is thin, always in the 95% for height, and around 40% for weight. She tried on the striped pair, and said, these are shorts, so she tried the flowered pair next, and said, these are tight and shorts too, and so she put on the last pair, the pink ones. She said, I guess I'll just call them shorts, and off she went to go play with the Barbies again. So while they seem to be pretty nice, if you are buying them for a child who has a little baby chub on her legs, these probably aren't going to fit at all.
