Important Information

Safety Warning
Caution: Do not overheat. Always test temperature of liquid on wrist before feeding baby. Do not microwave, since this can cause uneven heating. Always supervise baby when feeding. To avoid injury, do not allow a child to walk or run with a bottle. Do not attempt to enlarge the hole since this will affect product performance.
To prevent possible choking hazard, test strength before each use by pulling the nipple in all directions. Discontinue use if it becomes sticky, enlarged, cracked, torn or shows other signs of excessive wear. Prolonged periods of time drinking liquids, other than, water, may cause tooth decay.

Directions
Care: disassemble before cleaning. Prior to first use, sanitize by boiling in water for 5 minutes. For day to day cleaning, wash with hot water and mild detergent then rinse clean. Dishwasher-safe (top rack). Allow to dry before storage.
Use: to heat, use a bottle warmer, or place the bottle under hot running water or in a container of heated water. For hygiene and safety, replace nipples after about 2 months of use. For best results, the vent should be under the baby's nose.

I've mainly fed my daughter with Dr. Brown's but with all the BPA issues I decided to not take the risk and find BPA-free bottles to try. A lot of the popular BPA-free bottles, such as Born Free, are rather expensive, there's even one brand that's about $15-20 EACH bottle! I'm fortunate not to be on a strict budget but don't want to blow money either - so when I found these recommended in Parents magazine I decided to give try them. They're great! My daughter likes them, have not had one leakage problem in 2 months of use, less parts to clean than Dr. Brown's, I don't have to worry when putting them in the dishwasher, and the best part is that they're so affordable!!!! I also replaced the latex nipples (that they come with) with silicone replacement nipples that are also made by Gerber.

Like most couples we spent a lot of time and money trying different types of feeding bottles. The First Years Soothie worked well initially for our baby daughter but after a while the flow was too weak and latching also became difficult for her. The next size up nipple was too strong and made her choke. We then spent a small fortune trying Dr Browns, Avent, Playtex Ventaire, and a couple of others. Some bottles she outright refused, others caused tummy pain/gas.

We were a little skeptical at first about these Gerber bottles since they're so much cheaper than the rest. But in this instance the price is by no means a reflection of the quality of this product. It took a couple of attempts but our baby soon became comfortable with these bottles. My wife and I were delighted with the results (only wish we had discovered these sooner). Obviously it may not work everyone but here are the key benefits for us:
1. steady milk flow (not too fast and not too slow) - started when was 3 months old, now she is 4 and a half months.
2. no colic or gas issues
3. BPA free
4. bottles have never leaked!
5. very easy to clean, nothing fiddly (important to us since we're low on sleep)
6. latex nipples (our baby seems to prefer these to silicone)
7. air inside bottle is replaced when milk is sucked out so there is no excess pressure when milk is low

In our experience there is nothing bad about these bottles. Sometimes there is a faint hissing sound when air is replacing milk, but that hasn't bothered our daughter. Every baby is different I know and some wont like this I'm sure, but for the price you cant go wrong. Its definitely worth a try.

Cheers,
John

We were looking for a solution to Dr Brown's bottles because they have way to many pieces. These work great and the Dr Brown's nipples and collars fit them with no leaking which is fantastic and saves 2 pieces (which is a lot to wash and clean on a regular basis). Because they were compatible we didn't have to go through buying a bunch of new parts or worry that our daughter would take to the new bottles.

Great bottles, easy to clean and use and fantastic price.

These bottles are great and it is really hard to have a complaint, but i have just one. The nipples that came with these are latex and after using them for about 2 months they will begin to crack. Once cracked, they should be thrown out to avoid being a choking hazard. I did end up buying the silicone nipples for these and if i had originally purchased these with the silicone nipples, this would be a five star review with no complaints.

Taking the advice of other posters, I tried this bottle to transition an exclusively breastfeed baby to the bottle and wow, what a difference. This was the only bottle she would take after spending close to a $100 on "boobie" bottles at Babies R Us and six days of crying. Should have tried this first - not sure if the nipple is similar or the ridges on the inside, but it is a life, wallet and sanity saver.

I was searching everywhere for BPA-free alternative to the Dr. Brown's bottles we'd been using, then I find these at my local Target for under three bucks! Awesome!

These bottles are great if you're looking for a polypropylene bottle. The quality is good, and the ones I got already came with silicone nipples. That being said, these don't have any type of anti-gas/colic airflow/venting system... That I can tell. Mind you, this isn't a complaint, I didn't expect more for such a low price! A really nice thing about these bottles is that they are 9 ounce bottles not just 8. Anyone who has ever added powdered formula to 8 ounces of water, knows that it makes MORE than 8 ounces. :-) So, these should help with situations like that.

The main thing I liked about these bottles is that I was able to adapt them and use them with the Dr. Brown's airflow system (parts). We were quite attached to the airflow system in the Dr. Brown's bottles, so I shortened the reservoir (the long stick-insert) from the standard 8oz. Doc Brown's bottles, and then just used these Gerber bottles with all of the previously used Doc Brown's parts.

So far my baby doesn't seem to know the difference, and I am happy to not be using bottles that could be harmful to him.

Basically, these are a good alternative to anyone looking for an inexpensive bottle that does what it's supposed to, and doesn't break the bank. Thanks Gerber!
