The ingredient list features tuna oil, gelatin, and other natural or artifical vitamins. I'm sure it won't seem like a big deal to a lot of parents, but I was shocked to find out that a baby food product labeled "organic" had other ingredients than vegetables and water (I know that USDA Organic means that only a certain percentage of the product needs to be organic, but you can find non-organic baby food that has only vegetables and water in their ingredient list! Why buy organic if you're going to end up with gelatin in your food?) If gelatin and tuna oil are things you try to avoid in your own diet, why feed it to your baby?
Don't trust the ingredient list posted on this page and check the ingredient list in stores before buying online.

Includes tune oil, gelatin and vitamins. I would expect organic pea pure to include just peas, but this is not the case. Enough said. Deleting my subscription.

The packaging is rather painful to open. They should design these with parents of new babies in mind. Most food products with peel tops have one corner which is indicated as the side to open and the hard plastic has a crack allowing for the user to easily bend and peel the top. No such luck with these tubs of baby food from Gerber. It's not clear which side should be opened by the packaging and whichever one you choose will be equally stubborn before you can finally peel the top and feed your hungry baby.

Flavor Name: Prunes Verified Purchase
This is a good choice for organic prunes for baby. I make most of my baby's food but buy her prunes for the additional fiber and it's easier than making them. These are a decent value for the price normally, but really good in this case option. Normally at stores it's the 2 tub pack for $1 and change. This case has 8 of the packs, making it a total of 16 tubs. It's a lot of prunes but she eats them often and loves them.

We mix these prunes into yogurt to give to my 2-year-old daughter on a near daily basis. She loves the flavor, and the texture is consistently creamy and 100% smooth. Unlike with many of the companies that make organic baby food, we've never had a batch of these Gerber prunces that were off-color or that contained larger chunks. I also like that I can recycle the plastic containers that hold the prune puree.

If your baby is starting with solids, I recommend you to have these and make juice of it.
He will need the water and the prunes are grate to aid the digestion. So, win-win.
I'm using one every other day. Helps a lot.

If organic truly matters to you the fact that tuna oil is added to this puree is truly offensive. The mercury levels in tuna are high enough that pregnant and nursing women are advised to avoid certain amounts, yet it is okay to add to a babies food? And it is not specified as derived from organic or wild caught tuna. This carries absolutely no logic and just goes to show what happens when a major food company attempts organic. Garbage, complete and total garbage.
