The best sippy cup for all ages of kids,

This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free 2 Pack Fun Grips spill Proof Cup, 10 Ounce, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
My children range from 8 to 2. Over the years, we have tried nearly every sippy cup on the market. This cup has been the most durable, the only one that does not leak, the only cup that does not loose its valve suction after multiple washings, the only cup that is truly easy to clean in the dishwasher, and the easiest to handle for young children. This cup is substantial and can hold a lot of liquid but is not too big for young hands. It also does not entirely look like a baby cup so it can be used by older children without too much embarrassment.

There are several positives to these sippy cups, and a couple negatives. First, the positives:
-Easy for my son to grasp and hold. The shape lends well to small hands. -Sippy top spout is easy for him to use and drink out of. -Bright colors aren't too gender specific, so it can be used by girls and boys. -Dishwasher safe and has lasted a long time and many many runs through the dishwasher -If the valve is in, they really don't leak at all. The tip is really secure and even when my son throws the cup or drops it, liquid doesn't leak out. Negatives: -The shape of the cup doesn't dry well in the dishwasher -the tops do not stack well. -The valve piece that it comes with makes it hard to stack, so I have to keep them separate, which makes it a bit difficult to store. -The valves are hard to put in at first, but get easier with time. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives. I'm really happy with them and would purchase more of them.

NEVER leaks!!! Easy for little hands to hold!,

This is a fantastic sippy cup!
Easy to screw on lids, valves stay put, neat shape helps little ones hold on to it better. It seriously never leaks! There are only a few things I don't like, but only significant enough to take 1 star off my rating: -The spout gradually angles outward down towards the lid - makes it easy for it to slip out of my daughter's mouth compared to others. -While I love that my daughter can hang on to this due to the shape, when I put a "no-throw" loop on it and she lets it fall, it will hang upside down. If she's in her stroller, the spout touches the wheels/ground - ew. If the smallest part were closer to the top, maybe it wouldn't do that. -I wish there was an insulated version! I can see how that might be difficult though, due to its shape. HIGHLY recommend. I have come to learn that there is just no perfect sippy cup. But, this is the sippy cup I prefer to grab if I'm going to be keeping her drink in my purse, since I KNOW it will not leak!

Good quality and durability, slight design flaws, superior to playtex,

I purchased a dozen of these six months ago, and have been very pleased - the cup, lid, and the control valve all hold up extremely well - I've thrown a few ago because they had aged milk in them, but threw none away for quality reasons. Previously, I'd used the Playtex sippy cup for 2 years with my first child - you end up replacing a lot (and expensively priced) rubber valves.
Two mild design flaws: The sippy cup bottom is too big to fit in a standard cup holder, so there is no good place to put it in the car. Secondly, the way the valve fits into the top creates a situation where the child can't drink the last 1/2 ounce of milk from each cup, so you throw away milk each time this cup is used, even when the child has "finished" it.

Cups came in a timely fashion, spill proof tested. My 6 month old daughter enjoys gnawing on them while teething, and when she wants some water she can get it easily enough. She's still learning how to hold bottles/cups on her own, and the shape of this cup helps. I would've liked to be able to pick my own colors though...we got the blue and orange. A little boy-ish but it'll do and hopefully last until our next baby too! 'Colors may vary' was explicitly stated, so no stars were taken from this review for that reason!

The ONLY Cup My Daughter Has Ever Used!,

This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free 2 Pack Fun Grips spill Proof Cup, 10 Ounce, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
When my daughter was 12-13 months old, we introduced sippy cups. Every one we bought, she just didn't use... I don't know if she was having a hard time using them or just didn't like the feel. We tried the Born Free, the Munchkins, the Phillips Avent soft spouts, the regular Nuby with soft spout, the Playtex and even the Nuby with the soft straw!
I guess I assumed that because she was so young that she needed a cup with a soft spout and/or grippy handles. But, these Gerber Nuk cups were the only ones she ever used. Still to this day she uses these! (now almost 21 months old) Sometimes we try giving her one of the other ones if the Nuks are all dirty and NO, she only will use the Nuk! So weird!

I've owned practically every "sippy" cup made. This one beats them all hands down. My only advise is to buy extra inserts for the mouth piece. The plastic part can sometimes become damaged if washing too aggressively.

Too hard to drink from,

My little girl was 16 months old when we started using these. They definitely don't leak, but they are just a bit too hard for my little one to get a good drink from. It made it so she just wouldn't drink and in turn became constipated and dehydrated. I kept trying different cups and finally found one of the nuby straw cups to work best.

I have used these both with my older niece and now with my son. They withstand a lot of abuse in little hands! I love the bright colors and how they never leak. I also like that my son can grip them easily. My only complaint is that due to the shape every once in a while they do not get totally clean in the dishwasher (mostly when milk has sat in them for a while/ they weren't well rinsed beforehand).
