5.0 out of 5 stars Very Durable
I've used this set with two kids and it has held up perfectly through hundreds of trips through the dishwasher. I chose this brand of kids' silverware because it comes with a knife. My boys wanted to have a knife just like Mommy and Daddy but baby knives are hard to find. The knife in this set looks real but is really very dull and totally safe for kids.

2.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy if You Want a Certain Color
Before purchasing I understood that "Colors May Vary" but Amazon shows 3 color options on the page. I mistakenly thought that we would receive 1 of the 3 colors. Nope, instead we received a hideous neon green and blue set. Better off going a big box retailer if color is important to you at all. Shame on Amazon for not providing specific colors to choose from.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Colors May Vary", March 6, 2010

Love the forks but, hate that you cannot select a color. Why not just sell gender nutural colors if you are not going to allow the customer to select a color. I figured the odds were in our favor of getting yellow or blue - we only had a 33% chance of getting pink (I have a boy) - well we got pink. Just sell the green/yellow instead of making customers gamble Amazon! [...] is using a new "picker" that randomly selects the product so it would have been a color gamble with them also. We'll just use the pink ones at home. BTW - these are the best toddler forks out there and the quality for the price is outstanding. They are easy to hold and pierce toddler food easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son really likes these utensils, July 26, 2010

We bought three sets of these utensils online (although they are available at Target in-store.) We received one of each color (pink, blue, and yellow), which is fine with me. I had been searching for a fork that would actually stab into food, as opposed to just mashing it up. Most children's utensils are too dull to do anything. These forks are great. My two-year-old son can pick up hot dogs, grapes (yes, he eats grapes with a fork), and even apple slices. The knife is not sharp, of course, but he still likes to "cut" his food with it. The spoons are just a little too wide, but they hold the food well and are easy to use. I might have to go pick up some more sets!

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic!, September 20, 2010
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free 3 Pack Graduates Kiddy Cutlery Set, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
I ordered 2 sets of these, one for each of my kids, and I'm in love with them! So much that I'm getting rid of some others and replacing with these. Things I love: You get a knife with some weight to it. No blade, not sharp, but strong enough to hold up to my 4 year old who is determined to try and cut everything. Doesn't bend! Next, the spoon is actually the right depth. My other kiddie spoons come in two versions- almost flat (read:everything falls out) and too deep (read: my toddler only gets half the bite each time.) These are just right! They are big enough for my 4 year old, small enough for my 18 month old and when I borrowed one to take a bite, it was even pleasant for me! Well made, BPA free, ergonomic for little hands, I'm in love! The only possible negative I can think of is the color, I have two girls, so I was golden, but if you had an issue with pink, you might not care for the varying colors bit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for!, December 25, 2010

This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free 3 Pack Graduates Kiddy Cutlery Set, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
I don't think I could be more pleased with this product. I had plenty of the tiny baby spoons, but my daughter reached the point of eating things better eaten with a fork. So I set out looking for some toddler silverware. Forks were hard to come by, and to my amazement and confusion, pretty much all plastic. Well I could just see that frustrating a poor kid trying to stab food for the first time. Then I came across this set, and said "that's it!"

The handles are nice and rubbery, making them easier for my daughter to hold on to. They are not too long, like most of the baby spoons, which are meant more for parents feeding the kids than the kids feeding themselves. My daughter would try to hold them more at the end of the handle, and that didn't work too well. These encourage her to grab them correctly. They are big enough that she can get food on them easily. She absolutely loves having a fork now, and the knife is a big hit, too. She asks for the knife if I don't give it to her! Of course, it's completely dull; she's not going to hurt herself or anything, but it's something for her to practice with and also to help occupy her during mealtime if she gets restless before my husband and I are through eating. Since these are actually metal utensils, they are very functional, and I know they will last well through my daughter outgrowing them and into a second child.

I understand the frustration of some reviewers regarding the color selection. However, when I compared the price of this item with buying the exact same item with color specification, I could have cared less what they sent me. It's just a fork. I'm not going to spend twice the price just to get a certain color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this silverware set!, July 31, 2010
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free 3 Pack Graduates Kiddy Cutlery Set, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
These are longer than the forks and spoons we had been using for my toddler. The longer version here makes it easier for my son to eat and not spill. He also sees us cutting our food and wants to be like us, so the knife is good for him to start getting used to cutting his foods without you worrying about him hurting himself.

I was looking for something besides plastic utensils for my 3.5 year old and 2 year old to use. My daughter has really gotten into helping set the table every day and these were perfect! They are the exact right size, not too small and full size. The knife is not sharp at all but the kids love having it as a part of their place setting. Today my daughter was using her knife to help her slide some pasta onto her fork. She was so excited once she got it! I put these in the dishwasher every day and they look great (having been using them for at least 6 months now.) Oh, we've also started having "fancy" tea parties and these look great paired with our tea party dishes. :) Highly recommend them!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Early Set, June 24, 2011

Purchased a few sets of these for our twins when we started solids. We have been doing "Baby Led Weaning" with them from the age of six months and though (at 12 months) they are still just beginning to learn how to eat with silverware, they love to hold the spoons and forks and to chew on them. I can now give them a fork loaded with noodles, and they'll put it in their mouth. Many times if they got fussy during meal times I'd give them a spoon to hold. Also, I'd always bring extra spoons to the table. When they tried to grab the spoon full of applesauce or yogurt I'd give them a spoon to hold and then could keep feeding them with a second spoon.
