5.0 out of 5 stars Great cup, no leaks
This is the best straw sippy. I have tried Playtex, The first years and Gerber. Gerber is by far the best. My 16 month old daughter loves to throw her sippys. I can't tell you how many times I've had to clean up messes in the back seat of my car when straw sippys have leaked (especially the first years straw sippy) I have had no problems what so ever with the gerber's...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cup, no leaks, September 18, 2008
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free Cool Twisties Insulated Straw Cup, 9 Ounce, Single Pack, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
This is the best straw sippy. I have tried Playtex, The first years and Gerber. Gerber is by far the best. My 16 month old daughter loves to throw her sippys. I can't tell you how many times I've had to clean up messes in the back seat of my car when straw sippys have leaked (especially the first years straw sippy) I have had no problems what so ever with the gerber's leaking. It is the only straw sippy we've tried that doesn't leak when the straw is hidden. The cup is very easy to disassemble for cleaning and just as easy to reassemble. My daughter hasn't had any problems with suction. She has been on a straw sippy since she was 14 months old. The gerber straw is on par with the other brands we have tried. The best part is that these cups are usually cheaper than the other brands.

2.0 out of 5 stars Squeaks!, July 20, 2010

I bought this straw cup in the hopes my 1 year old would use it, but he has so far refused it. Needing a cup for myself one day, I grabbed it and took it to work. I find that it takes a surprising amount of suction to drink from this straw because of the anti-leak valve. It must be a real struggle for a child to use this. Worse, occasionally the straw/lid assembly makes an irritating shrieking/squeaking noise as you drink from it. The problem gets worse as the level of liquid goes down.

I do like the fact that the straw can be folded down and stowed hygenically when in transport or in storage (to keep it dust free at the very least), but dislike all the parts (5 in all!) that you have to wash and dry. It would be easy to lose the silicone straw tip because it's small, and the hard inner straw is clear and hard to see when you set it down. All in all, this cup has way too many problems for me to recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Our fav so far, August 22, 2011
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free Cool Twisties Insulated Straw Cup, 9 Ounce, Single Pack, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
I bought this cup for my 2 year old & it works great so far. It is not hard to drink from & it does not leak. We have tried munchkin and playtex brand straw cups as well. Munchkin was hard to drink from even for me and it leaked over time. Playtex leaked and squeaked from the beginning. I have to add that this gerber cup is the only one she doesn't play with, because with the aforementioned brands it seemed like she was mostly opening and closing the straw pop-ups more than she was actually drinking the contents. I really like cups like this that tuck the straw away for easy traveling.

1.0 out of 5 stars worst cup Gerber has come up with yet...., August 20, 2011

I have used Gerber cups, bowls, and utensils for all three of my children and generally like the products that Gerber produces, but this cup is the worst design ever to come from Gerber. The twist lid/straw design is poorly constructed. It's hard to sip from. The straw leaks and squeaks. Complete waste of money!

2.0 out of 5 stars Pros and cons, April 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free Cool Twisties Insulated Straw Cup, 9 Ounce, Single Pack, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
The nice thing about this cup is its cap and straw. The straw can be folded and be kept clean especially in transport such as a field trip or shopping. However, the same cap and straw made the cup essentially useless. The anti-leaking valve is badly designed. Sucking the straw needs great effort. I cut the valve to open it a little wider. This makes sucking easier, but the anti-leaking valve is broken.

The anti-leaking valve needs to be carefully cleaned for it can be dirty after some uses.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only one he uses!!!, October 27, 2010
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free Cool Twisties Insulated Straw Cup, 9 Ounce, Single Pack, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
I have a son who just turned 3 and was able to use a variety of bottles, sippy cups, straw cups, etc. when he was younger. I also have a son who just turned one who seems to be very picky about what he uses to drink out of. We have a LARGE variety of sippy cups from our first son and the ONLY CUP that my 1 year will drink from out of our grand collection is this one. He went from breastfeeding all the time to only using this cup. He can't seem to get any liquid out of a spout cup, and all the other straw cups we have - he can get it out, but he doesn't drink it, it comes right back out. He literally can not go without this cup. I feel the need to purchase a few more, just so I'm never without!

4.0 out of 5 stars No leaks, hard to drink from, March 8, 2010
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free Cool Twisties Insulated Straw Cup, 9 Ounce, Single Pack, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
This cup has been a good one for us now that Sydney is older. It is pretty difficult to get any liquid out of, but that's because of the leak-proof valve. We haven't had any trouble with this cup leaking! The cup is top-rack dishwasher safe, and the straw is 2 pieces that are pretty easy to clean. The straw does get some discoloration (Sydney likes to drink with food in her mouth...and green beans and squash turned the straw a funny color). We haven't had any trouble with this cup breaking, but I've read other reviews saying that their toddler threw the cup and it broke. It seems to be pretty easy for Sydney to hold and she can open and close this one by herself now.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Cup, June 1, 2008
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free Cool Twisties Insulated Straw Cup, 9 Ounce, Single Pack, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
The idea of this cup is great, however this cup leaks every where. I usually am a big fan of gerber cups. I prefer them over other brands, however this is not a good cup. I too have tried drinking from the straw and it is very hard to suck anything out of it. In fact, it is so hard my mouth started to hurt. Also, after my baby takes a drink the straw sprays liquid into the air everywhere. My baby was using this cup in public and the straw sprayed milk on the back over some stranger's hair that was sitting close by. I was mortified!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cups!, November 7, 2007
This review is from: Gerber Graduates BPA Free Cool Twisties Insulated Straw Cup, 9 Ounce, Single Pack, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
Our old straw cups have worn out and when they started leaking, we bought one of these to see if it could hold up to the "leak test." These cups are great! No leaks from the end of the straw or from the ring where the lid screws on. I am definitely going to get a few more. We haven't had any problems at all.
