Helps with dinner time,

These little doo-dads are super! My little boy loves to try to feed himself. We'll give him one of these to hold on to while we actually get some food in his mouth then we let him practice with his dipper. He's only 7 months old, so we put the food on for him and then he attempts to get it in his mouth. He has much more success with these than with a regular baby spoon. My sister bought these for us as a gift and I'm planning to give them also.

Perfect Popsicle Stick for Babies!,

I love these, but don't use them for their intended purpose. They are the PERFECT size/shape to use as a popsicle stick for babies. Regular popsicle sticks are too thin for my baby to grab on to. I make my own popsicles, blending any combination of fruit/yogurt/milk/juice, then freezing in an ice cube tray with one of these as the "stick".

Awesome tool for self-feeding,
This review is from: 2 Gerber Lil' Dipper (Sold As a Set) (Baby Product)
I am a Mom of 3 and also an in-home feeding therapist. I have used this for all my kids and recommend it to several families I work with. It is a great tool for children to learn the mechanics of utensil feeding. Good buy!

My grandson has a disease called EB and has a very sensative mouth. Her speech therapist recommended getting these spoons. Now he is easting off these.

There's nothing wrong with the product, but these really didn't do anything for my son. He very quicly adapated to spoons so now I just buy the throw away spoons.

This item was recommeded to me by my lactation consultant. I had trouble fitting the spoons into my babies mouth. This item was great for me to get a little bit of puree into him for the first week. I think it helped him transition from sucking the nipple to gumming the food.

Works as a teething toy - not a utensil,

We gave these to our 9-month-old twins as their first "utensil," and were very disappointed in the results. Whatever food you are serving has to be JUST the right consistency - too thin and it just slides off the dipper, too thick and it won't stick to it. Our kids did like to mimic Mommy and Daddy using utensils, and they would practice "eating" with these, but they could have done just as well with a regular baby spoon. Wouldn't waste your money on this "intro" utensil. Really like Boon Benders - Adaptable Utensils in Orange/Blue as introductory spoon and fork.

Being a new mother, I bought severl on the market to include this one. I found this was helpful from 4-6 months to get my son used to holding items during feeding time and safe to prevent harm. However, after 6 months, this really hindered his ability to get real food into his mouth. Great for a short duration of time, but not worth the price. Sassy's curved spoon was a much better product useful for a longer duration past one year of age.Sassy Baby Less Mess Toddler Spoon 2 Pack, Multiple Colors
