Basically it does the job. It's not super pretty, but overall it's reasonably well made - a few loose threads here and there. It's moderately priced, and I think worth the value, though it's not organic cotton. My daughter seems to like them fine enough. I've been potty training my daughter and she mostly gets it but still has accidents, big and small. These are for the little slips (small accidents) she has. They will not contain a big accident, but I don't expect it to. They are not meant to - you basically would need a diaper for that. This is not a pull-up diaper, it's underwear that has thicker padding to absorb minor spills. I also bought a vinyl outside cover to put over this, that will better contain per larger accidents. My daughter is petite (20 percentile at 22mos old) I bought 18mos size and they fit right.

The panties are exactly what my grand daughter needed to help her train . Wearing pull ups is just wearing a diaper , they continue to wet because they don't feel a difference. These panties let her feel when she goes and she immediately runs to her potty. Pull ups have to be used at night time only to make training easier for your child !

These are great for training but I wish the sizing was more accurate. My daughter wears a 3T in clothes and size 4 disposable diapers (she is usually in cloth diapers) but after reading other reviews, we got a 2T in these trainers and they are a little big on her! They are soft though and I do like them.

These came in a vinyl package, and they absolutely reeked of the harsh chemicals in it. I had to wash them about 7 times before it wasn't noticeable, and more before it was completely gone.

I recommend buying these; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006OE22MA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (The Gerber Training Pants (6-pairs) here on Amazon) as they did NOT come in the vinyl packaging and did not reek of nasty chemicals.

It also says they are 100% cotton, but it is worth noting for especially sensitive little ones, that within the absorbent center panel is some kind of artificial sponge. It did not seem to affect my little one though.

They are holding up pretty well, though as with anything with elastic in, you don't want to expose them to too much heat - air dry them if you can. I think one has a small hole in the top of one of the waistbands, but that is after 9 months of pretty intensive use. (And being washed with nap and bed time cloth diapers.)

For those of you ECing (Elimination Communication) I started using the 18 month size when my daughter was just 18lbs, and they held themselves up rather well, even though she has a pretty skinny butt. Now that they are a little well worn they wouldn't stay up if she was still that small, but she's not so that's OK.

They do absorb a fair amount - my daughter learned to control her bladder very well so that she would let out just enough to wet the panties but not leak through - sneaky! And they work well enough under fleece pants as night training panties for a light wetter/a child that is trying to hold it.

They don't hold "too much" though, they do teach toddlers what emptying your bladder will do, they just soak up enough to make less of a mess. Overall I am very satisfied with the product itself, I just wish they wouldn't use such horrible packaging.

These underpants have a slightly thicker middle panel to help with little accidents. The panel provides a little extra material so that if little drips happen before making it to the potty, it won't get on pants. However, If you child is just beginning potty training, I think that plastic ones would be a little more helful.

These training pants are fantastic for potty training! We did the cold turkey, no-more-diapers method, and these training pants were great for that. They are NOT waterproof, but do provide a lot more protection than normal underwear. They will still leak through (unless it's a tiny accident), but the damage will not be as bad; you may even avoid the puddle on the ground and just have wet clothes to deal with (much easier).

The material that these are made out of is very soft and comfortable. (I also ordered some Green Sprouts brand, which were so scratchy I sent them back immediately.) These training pants do seem to be higher waisted than most other girls' undies (not sure about boys), but not to the point that they show above my daughter's pants or anything. If she's wearing leggings or thin pants, you can see the seams that hold the extra absorbent panel to the middle of the pants (so she has little seam lines across her buns), but I don't think it looks terrible. The absorbent panel is not thick enough to make the training pants appear bulky or diaper-like.

In terms of fit, the 3T training pants fit my daughter well when she was in 3T pants, so I think they're true to size.

I highly recommend! Also available in plain white (which my daughter actually prefers - go figure!)

I read all the reviews before I bought these and so bought the 2T size even though my daughter fits in a 3T in everything else. These are perfect for our needs. They do not contain the entire accident but they do keep them off the floor. My daughter only had a couple accidents in them then figured out what was going on and now uses the potty. She can pull them down and back up on her own and if she doesn't get to the potty on time i don't have too much clean up to do.
