These run very small. Our son was 8lbs 1oz at birth and these were so short on him that almost his entire belly was exposed. Kimono shirts are such a must for newborns because onesies can irritate the sensitive cord stump. I was disappointed that these didn't work out for us. However, they were great quality for the price. Just be advised to order a size or two larger than you would expect.

when we had our new born, no one told me how important side snap baby shirts were. I learned quick. Pull overs take extra effort when the baby is fussy. More importantly when my little bundle of joy pees all over his shirt the last thing I want to do is pull a shirt soaked with pee over his head. Or, if my reflexes are fast enough and I get the wash cloth in place in time, a puddle may form that will soak the back of his shirt. Again, pulling a pee soaked shirt over the baby is not my idea of fun. Based on the faces my baby makes, I think he also prefers that I don't pull the pee over his head either. This is truly a win win.

The answer are many kimono style tops. Many. The 3 packs are ideal. Being that its summer, the short sleeves breathe well, are soft and unlike someone else, they survived the trip in the wash and dryer in fine form. However they do run a little small.

If you are expecting, I'd suggest forgoing some of the cute oneses and take that 20$ and get a ton of everyday kimono shirts. And these Gerber shirts work well and, more importantly, are cheap.

I used these for my son and loved them. I'm expecting baby number 2 and bought another pack. They were especially great for doctor visits when he was small--didn't have to pull anything over his head (since you have to undress and dress them at the doctor).

I would never buy 0-3 month size UNLESS you have a premie or only want to use them for a newborn. My son was 7lbs 8oz and only sqeezed into 0-3 month clothes for the first few weeks. By 3 weeks old I had packed them all away.

I personally did not have trouble with the shirts shrinking any more than anything else. If in doubt, buy the next size up just to be safe!

if your baby is born above 8 lbs, you will soon find these shirts obsolete.
They have good quality, though I will prefer long sleeves.

LOVED these little t-shirts when my son was born. I really liked that the snaps are not sewn onto the shirt: first, the snaps are not against the newborn skin; and second, it is so simple to stick your finger under the fabric and squeeze the snaps together. Especially great until the umbiblical cord falls off! I buy these for all of my pregnant friends.

I love the side snap shirts. They are perfect layering pieces and make it easier to dress him. The shirts do run a little small (as do most Gerber clothes). I really wish they sold them in larger sizes.

The hospital used these. They are perfect for taking care of a newborn's belly button site. They don't really need all the fussy clothes, because they are swaddled 24/7. This is perfect for changing diapers and taking care of belly buttons. I cannot comment on the size because I didn't actually order these exact ones, but as I am expecting number 2 it is helpful, I will be buying the 0-3 months when I head to the store.

I dont know, but I think gerber makes baby clothes a bit too small. Quality is great, style is great, but sizing has its issues. I do recommend anyone to buy this side snap shirt, just buy a few size(s) larger than needed.

Our baby was delivered a LOT earlier than we expected. At first we were told our little one would be over 8 lbs and since we ordered these way ahead of time, I was worried that they wouldn't fit. However, our baby boy was delivered early and he was tiny - exactly 6 lbs. These side snap shirts were a total must the first week at home. Easy to get on and off, no pulling over the head, and they fit him perfectly.

Sure, I can see how these would be considered tiny for normal sized babies, but for our slightly premature baby, these fit perfectly!

These are so much better than over-the-head shirts whether baby is fussy or sleeping, you don't want to get something over their head when you don't have to. These run a little small but still fit fine. If you have a big baby, these won't do. One shirt is starting to tear where buttons are attached due to stretching/pulling of snapping on and off.
