First off, I've only been learning German for about a year, but comparing different translations, I liked the feel of the Luther translation the best.
Finding a German Bible wasn't easy, so I really appreciate Amazon making this available. Most of all, I want to say that Die Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft did an exceptional job in publication. This is a very nice Bible. The layout, typeface, and other text aspects are great. The look is great. I LOVE the white bookmark ribbon. It goes perfectly with the beautiful blue cover. I was really impressed with the publication quality when I started reading this Bible.

Great Luther-Ubersetzung that is actually Large enough!,

This is identical to the little 7 1/4" X 5" Luther Bibel Amazon sells for $50.00, except that this one is 8 1/2" tall and 6" across, much bigger with a nicer type size for reading. The product description didn't say this, so listen up. This volume contains the Apokryphen. This may be no problem for you, but just in case it were, I figured you deserved fair warning. The best German translation and large enough to read = Buy It.

This was a gift for my son, who is a junior in college, upon completing his third year of German, he wanted this to help him keep up his German skills. He has been enjoying this book ! Thanks for you prompt service
