It is very difficult to find good information regarding this breed, especially in book format. This book is great! If you are considering sharing your life with a German Pinscher (GP,) I highly recommend reading this book first, in addition to talking to as many owners and breeders as possible. GP's are a big challenge and are not the dog for everyone, but for the right "parents" they can be pure joy! For the current parents of a GP, the book offers additional training information and insight to the GP mind. I truely enjoy this book and refer back to it often. I highly recommend it.

I couldn't find a book about German Pinshcers anywhere. This was just what I wanted to know about this rare breed. Most people know nothing about them!

I found the book very helpful to me in coping with my German Pinscher puppy. It covers a wide range of facts, techniques, and helps solve problems that might arise with a new German Pinscher Puppy.

I was disappointed with the contents. It was ok if you had a GP puppy but I had gotten a full grown dog and was looking for something to help me with that end of it, maybe something more like personality, habits, and what to expect from the breed. I wish it had more of a detailed explaination of the book regarding that before I spent the money, maybe something like "good book for new GP puppy owners" because that is all it is.

This book far exceeded my expectations! I have many purebreed dog books on my shelves and this one is one of the best ones I have read. Not only does it cover all the advantages and disadvantages of the breed, but the author covers in great detail its history, from its roots in Germany all the way to its history in conformation shows across the world. What a great read for anyone who is interested in this breed and a MUST HAVE for anyone who already owns or is interested in owning a GP. The book is also filled with lots of beautiful glossy photos! I can not recommend this book enough!

it had info about the dog, but some of if was false or really vague, i wouldn't recommend this book just go online.
