One of the greatest Requiems.,
By
This review is from: A German Requiem, Op. 45, in Full Score (Dover Miniature Music Scores) (Paperback)
Brahms' German Requiem is his best vocal work. Unlike the typical mass of the 18th and 19th centuries, This mass is not in Latin but in German. If anyone owns of a recording of this work, owning this score will greatley enrich your pleasure. This is indespensible for the Brahms fan. The notes are fairly small but easy to read, and there is ample room for your own notations. If you want to see a masters work in full force, buy this copy!
