David Jolley's debut solo album is impressive. You won't find the Weber or the Schubert or the Schumann played better or with more flair anywhere. The scary thing is, he plays that well live too! I know because I turned pages for the pianist at the recording sessions for this CD! If you are a French horn or a David Jolley fan, or both, you are in for a real treat. I recommend this disc highly.

The French horn has never sounded so good! I like all the pieces on the CD, but the best work by far, in my opinion, is the Weber concertino at the end. If there was only one piece for horn I ever heard, that one would be enough.
