This book is not exciting or fancy--no pictures, dialogs, humor, etc.. But if what you want is step-by-step practice with German verbs, then you will find it here. Useful for any student with about half a year of German or more, it provides explanations for most kinds of German verb patterns and conjugations and gives lots of practice. As the first reviewer said, it would go will other courses or programs to provide extra reinforcement in learning the semi-complicated German verb system. It's boring, but hey, it works.

This is similar in format to a high school workbook- which is a great thing. Each chapter focuses on a different type of verb conjugation, providing an explanation and examples before progressing to a series of exercises allowing the reader to put their new knowledge to work (answers can be found in the back of the book). The book is aimed at someone who posseses some basic knowledge of the language; a modest vocabulary and a basic understanding of the simpler facets of the language would be a prerequisite for getting the most from this guide. I am engaging in a course of self study, and after working with some basic online classes and memorizing a few hundred words, I have found this book to be a great asset. When studying from it, I take notes and use my German-English dictionary in addition to '500 German' verbs to better comprehend the lessons and fill in in areas I am unsure of. If you are learning or reviewing German, this is definitely a must-have.

This is a good refresher, starting easy and progressing to the most difficult. It's short, but gives a good number of common verbs, explaining everything as it goes. Would be good for someone brushing up their German, or a student, to use along with a textbook.

This book is easy to navigate, informative, well laid out and very helpful. I've been studying German for some time now and this will forever be a staple in my language library of books.

German verbs in all their forms are difficult for any learner and this book offers repetitive drills that are essential to learning how to use the many German forms. I highly recommend it!

This workbook assumes a working knowledge of German, and provides nearly a hundred exercises that aim to provide mastery of all conjugations for each tense.

This is a great way to learn how to form sentences in German and a great way to polish your speaking skills. I wish they came out with a longer version because I am flying through. There is an answer key in the back to check yourself, the only thing I find myself wishing for was a glossary because I didn't know any German when I started this book but I did look up the words online and I could figure out what everything meant. I have the German verb drills as well as Spanish verb drills and it is really helping me improve my language skills. I really love these books!

Although it will likely never reach the Bestseller List, this book breaks German verbs into their various forms in digestible bites section by section, followed by exercises reviewing each section. Answers are included in the back of the book for immediate reinforcement of understanding. This is not a textbook, and does not read like one. Strictly business. German Verbs Drills!

This workbook is great for helping someone brush up on existing German skills, as well as the complete beginner. It has an easy and informative format.

Verbs drive language - so this is an essential for learning the basics in German. I'm still working at it and have many guides. I consider this one of the best: neatly laid out and well organized.

Before using this book, I had a limited knowledge of German vocabulary and almost no knowledge of German grammar. This book explains basic grammar very clearly, and all of the vocab it uses is included in the back of the book. Honestly, I could not find a better book.
