If you like traditional baking this is the book for you. I am always looking at different kinds of baking books to expand my knowledge and this was an amazing find. True to the german tradition. Anyone wanting to experience this kind of cooking should buy this rare gem.

I was fortunate enough to take classes from the author and so have made many of the recipes in this book. These recipes are not for people who want 'quick and easy', but the directions make them easy to follow, and the resulting pastries and baked goods are incomparable.

This is the only German baking book in my mind. I found a lot of good baking tips as well. It is shame that it is out of print. Bought a used copy which was in excellent condition. I initially borrowed this book from the library and decided that I had to have this one in my cookbook collection. These are authentic recipes.
