My daughter loves this book. After reading this to her a few times, she wanted me to wash her hands when they were dirty right away.

Little kids don't understand the concept of germs so this book helps explain why we need to wash our hands!

I used this book in a preschool health unit and it was perfect. Very simple explanations in a short and sweet package. I will definitely use this book again and again.

I'm a child care nurse consultant - I instruct on health & safety issues in child care. This is one of two of my favorite books for teaching hand washing to pre-school through early elementary age students. Great for others to use as it has a curriculum in the back of the book.

The book is good, though for my sons (ages 7 and 5), I had wished there would be a little more explanation of the science or a pictorial showing of exactly how germs are spread. Instead, it's more of a "be clean because of germs" superficial lesson. The book is good-- I had just hoped for a bit more.

What a great book to teach the basics of hand washing! This book is entertaining and very informative for children of many ages. This book is best when paired with a hand washing demonstration, hygiene lesson, environmental cleaning activity or infection control subject. After reading this book with students, they will likely want to run over to the sink and start washing immediately!
