5.0 out of 5 stars great audio books!
my 7 year old son and I love listening to these audio books whenever we are in the car! i've almost forgotten what regular radio sounds like. my son is always asking for his cd as soon as we get in.Bill Lobely does a good job reading, great voices for the different characters. 3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with the new narrator!
The original narrator, Edward Herrmann, is much better than Bill Lobely. I didn't realize that the narrator had changed with these books. Bill Loebely is a very good narrator, but having gotten used to Edward Herrman, the kids were extremely disappointed in this audio set.

I had to me too the reviewer that stated Lobley's narration is totally obnoxious. We love Geronimo Stilton for our kids, but are sad that we can only purchase the first few books in audio format that had a different (much better) narrator. The parents cannot stand listening to Lobley....ugh...We will buy these books on CD again if they bring back Edward Hermann.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bill Lobley's narration SUCKS!, January 31, 2010

While Bill Lobley may be a great narrator for regular adult novels, but he does not do Ed Hermann's Geronimo Stilton any justice. What a horrible disappointment. Do not buy this if you are expecting anything similar to Hermann's narration. Lobley's is simply OBNOXIOUS.

2.0 out of 5 stars Please bring back the original narrator!, April 18, 2008
This review is from: Geronimo Stilton #13 & 14 - Audio (Audio CD)
My kids and I loved the first audio books and we might have been able to get used to the new guy if it wasn't for the way he shrieks whenever he has to do the voice of Thea! It is jarring and totally turns my kids off to the point where they just lose interest in the story and either leave the room or ask me to turn it off. He doesn't do that bad a job on the voice of Geronimo but the other characters aren't nearly as good as the original and I've already mentioned our opinion on his version of Thea.

Please bring back the first narrator. I will not be purchasing any more unless he returns.

However, if you've heard the first stories read by Edward Hermann(excellent narrator and has sound effects), it takes a while to get used to Lobely's take on the voices. The story lines are well written to keep my son interested. All in all, i would recommend all the Geronimo Stilton audio books for personal use and gift giving!
