5.0 out of 5 stars Frank Bellamy's art lives on., May 24, 2007
This review is from: Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds: Classic Comic Strips (Hardcover)
These comic-strip adventures are from a mid-sixties comic, called TV Century 21.The Artwork screams this is the Sixties from every brightly coloured panel.

All stories in this hardback volume are based on Gerry Anderson's puppet show Thunderbirds.

It was through these magnificiently drawn and coloured pieces of Artwork, in which I could escape the boring humdrum schoolboy existence, and share in the excitment of the Tracy brothers.

Not all of the comic-strips are by Frank Bellamy, two are by fellow TV21 artist Eric Eden, and one is by "Eagle comic" Legend Frank Hampson (Creator of the very popular 1950's Dan Dare character).

It was also a rather nostalgic sight to see the toy advert's, priced in old Shillings and pence.

Go on relive the excitement of your younger years by getting this excellently reproduced volume.

This is for anyone who loves excellent artwork.

I'd like to say Thanks to Graham Bleathman and Sam Denham for making this aging schoolboy very happy.

For Doctor Who fans out there he also drew many pictures for that series.
