I have had this CD about 12 years and it's still one of my favorites. If you like Gershwin at all, you will love this CD. I ordinarily listen to rock music, but this is a nice change. The Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra does a great job. The sound is superb, and for sure you cannot beat the price!

You won't regret this purchase.

Darkest lowlight here has to be ALL of the Porgy & Bess selections-- every one of these is marred by a crummy electronic rhythm machine. "It Ain't Necessarily So" has been given an absurd samba beat! All of these elevator music tracks are bookended by adequately rendered orchestral versions of "Rhapsody In Blue" and "An American In...

This is one peculiar album.
