As a member of an international Medieval Re-creation / Re-enactment Society, candles are one of the main sources of "period" light we can use. However, they can become quite a danger inside a canvas tent or pavilion.

These are an excellent replacement for "real" candles. They look, smell, and feel like real wax candles (because the are real wax), they flicker realistically when turned on, and best of all...they won't set your tent on fire if accidentally knocked over!

We have purchased multiple sets of these flameless candles to use in our medieval re-enactment settings, and so far, nobody has believed they were flameless, battery-operated candles until we proved it.

Cute little candles. Smaller than I expected (but I also paid no attention to the published dimensions). A little TOO drippy looking for me. I also bought the Gerson Company Everlasting Glow Flameless Wax Candles with Melted Edge Effect and like those better. Definitely have a realistic glow and give off a surprising amount of light. Bonus: my cat can't burn off his whiskers on them! :)

Got them today and placed them in my little tin "luminarias". They are flickering happily away and look just like candles. They are doing exactly what I wanted them to. Going to order more when they are back in stock!

I bought two sets and, at first, about half of them didn't work when I put the batteries in. Just tap it gently in your palm and it will work. I prefer unscented candles but these have a very light unobtrusive scent. I love the timer, not having to pick it up and switch it on makes it seem more realistic somehow. The flicker on these is not subtle, they probably won't fool anyone, but for the price they can provide great ambience.

These candles made my Christmas living room warm and inviting -- and no worry about fire. I suggest buying a few extra batteries -- they are very inexpensive -- mine lasted about 36 hours continuous on a battery (they get dimmer as the battery runs down). They are a little flimsy, the battery catch broke off on one (but it worked fine anyway). They coat these candles with real wax (feels real) so they look and feel just like real candles! Even with shipping added on they were less expensive than in b&m stores. Enjoy!

Made of real wax, which I didn't realize, and was pleasantly surprised by--they smell nice. Their glow is a little more orange than what is shown in the picture though. Otherwise, a good buy.

These candles were much smaller than I anticipated. I did not envision the dimensions well. Size aside, one of them began to fail after just a few uses. Sometimes the little push in on/off button gets stuck. They tend to be fairly dull and burn batteries quickly. Not the best quality, got what I paid for and would not recommend.

I would give this product a five rating were it not for the 1 of the 3 set not being as bright as the others. Its "flame" does not fill the whole wick area, thus making it much less dim than the others. I didn't want to bother with returning for just that issue.

But the two that are bright are excellent and wonderful additions to help with mood lighting. I do love them and will probably buy more in the future.

Great price and they came right on time.

I adore these candles. I don't like real flames, it's a bit of a fear of mine so these battery candles are extra nice. They feel so....well waxy, just like candles should. The soft glow seems realistic. I have given them away as gifts to some female friends and my mother - who all love them as well. Now, I just need to purchase them for myself. I feel as though they are nice size. I think if they were any bigger, they wouldn't look real and if smaller, I'd be disappointed.

This product looks just like a real candle. Real wax and a flicker, makes this candle very "believable". And the great thing is, you don't have to worry, if you forget to put the candle out, no fire, maybe a little less battery life, but no fire, so enjoy.
