I read a lot of books.

Many books (unfortunately) are written from the writers point of view. And I struggle finishing them!

And sometimes (very rarely) I come across a book that is written for the reader. I know because I can't put it down, take copious notes and start applying the ideas and recommendations from the get go!

In my (very humble) opinion with "Get to #1 on Google", Ben Norman has written one of those rare books.

Reading the book from cover to cover (and it was such a breeze - it is so well written and illustrated) gave me a clear understanding of how Google works (I had one those 'aha' moments) and how to optimise my website. Btw, if you're wondering Google is doing what every successful business does - i.e. it looks after its customers. And if you're wondering who Google's customers are - it's the person doing the search (not the websites).

There is so much hype (untruth, lies and misrepresentation) surrounding Google search optimisation, I was getting very confused. I'm not a search-engine-guru, but with the knowledge I've gained from this book, I now know enough to sort through all the people and sites who allege they are. This book literally turn the light on in my head!

And btw... no I don't know Ben at all. I just loved his book and got so much out of it I wanted to let others know. I know how much I myself rely on quality, constructive feedback of other readers, I wanted to help others like me (looking for great quality, no B.S. information).

Thanks Ben,

Daniel Eigenmann

This is an excellent overview of the entire topic, with spot on advice. Plus, there are really clear explanations of things we all hear about in the online visibility sphere; things like black hat SEO and the Google Sandbox, for example.

Mr. Norman takes a concise lively approach to dense material yet thanks to his clean illustrations and deft explanations I can confidently say, "I get it!"

This book is an easy read and bit redundant at times. Keywords this, keywords that... I understand its a huge deal and the author makes it a point to beat it into your head. Overall a really good book for the price!
