Get Around in Italy -- a language guide that really helps!, June 17, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Get Around in Italy (Paperback)
This small booklet/tape system packs in lots of useful info if you're planning a trip to Italy. It includes useful phrases that real travellers need--such as how to ask for a discount, how to ask what the local specialty (in food) is; how to make room reservations, etc. After using this system for only a few weeks, I was able to book all my pensione reservations over the phone (speaking to non-English Italians)! This system really works, and is lots of fun. You can learn Italian while you drive to work in the morning; I did only about 10 minutes a day and already feel I could handle many situations on my summer trip to Italy.
