I thought I knew a lot about social networking - and then I read Get Connected and realized how much I didn't know. The book is easy to read and makes social networking easy to understand. Each of the top social networking sites, and why you would use them, is outlined, so you can pick and choose which to check out. Plus, there are many tips & tricks for creating your own social media strategies - including time management. Thanks Starr and Chadd!

This book is a MUST have for anyone who is online trying to use social media/networking to grow their business. No wonder it's skyrocketing up the Amazon rankings!

Don't be anti-social. But don't SPAM your friends, fans, and followers either. Let Starr Hall guide you through the perks and pitfalls of taking your business to the online masses.

This book is an absolute must is you want to learn about Social Media; what it is, why you should use it and how to use it the right way to gain the most benefit. I applaud the author for gathering all of this information. This is a fantastic resource, valuable for newcomers and veterans alike. I can highly recommend it for those who wish to communicate for pleasure and for those who wish to build their brand, drive traffic to their web site and market themselves powerfully. It is a must read with many amazing insights.

I was very impressed with the breadth of knowledge found in this book. It has an easy to understand and implement format that I found extremely helpful in determining what the differences are between the plethora of social networking sites, as well as how to choose the right one(s) for my business. I was able to set up my own social networking profiles with confidence and see results immediately. Starr is a true expert in the field and has real answers for the questions we all have on this topic. An absolute must-read for anyone that wants to take their business to the next level!

I read "Get Connected" today .... this is a must read for those seeking to get up to speed on how to think about social networking and your business. It really put it in context and perspective for me. Get Connected helped me make the leap from social networking being something my teen aged daughter does with her friends to a value-added marketing approach to building a brand and network. I highly recommend it!

I must have missed a memo somewhere, because unlike other reviewers I was not impressed with this book! It was not well edited, with basic typos and glaring grammatical/syntax errors that distracted from the work. It read very much like social networking sites - bubbly and bullet-pointed, light on overall content.

If you know anything about business etiquette and have common sense, you don't need the opening chapters. There is some useful information about Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to be found in the next section, but the remainder of the book consists of brief summaries of every social networking site known to mankind.

If you have an unusual or extremely specific target market, this book could save you some time in identifying which social networks to start with. Otherwise, I see very little application for and benefit in this book for the average businessperson.
