It's an EP. The band plays loud and fast. The singer has incredible attitude and presence. What more do you need to know? The songs? Try this on for size--the first track is Heathers, the movie, meets "The Loco-motion." Track 2 is a genuine thrasher about living in a town so boring you wanna kill somebody. The last song is 44 seconds of pure sonic destruction.
You want it. You need it! Unless you're an emo wuss who is too busy sitting in a dark corner to rock out.

The Three "Banned" Songs,

This EP contains the three songs that were not present on the US release of Get Awkward. I'm guessing they were deemed too controversial by Ecstatic Peace/Universal. The themes are homocidal and anti-school. So, if you want the complete Get Awkward, you've got to get this as well.

"Becky" was the first song I ever heard by BYOP and I adore it! It's like the Shangri-Las meets garage rock meets a particular 80s black comedy starring Winona Ryder. (That's a lot of 'meets.')
So, if that mix of pop culture sounds fab to you, I suggest you buy this EP! It's a lot of fun in three great tracks.
