A must have for any Vines fan, January 17, 2006
This cd, although only 4 songs long and very hard to obtain, is a diamond in the rough just waiting to be discovered by heavy Vines fans. This single contains the Vines biggest hit, Get Free, and thats from the album Highley Evolved, their highest selling album. Now I will give a track to track rating of all the songs
Get Free 9.5/10=This is the A Side on this single and is a great song that turned many people, including myself onto The Vines. It is a very catchy song and is one of The Vines louder songs. Although I think the lyrics are not up to par with other Vines song, this is still a great song that will keep you dancing.
Highley Evolved 9/10=This is the first track and title song of their first album, and is a great song. The tune is very catchy, like Get Free, but the lyrics are much more clever. It is wonderful to here Craigs voice stager and scream on this song and would be one of their best if it wasnt so short.
Down At The Club 10/10=By far this is the best song on this single, and possibly the best B-Side from The Vines out there. This is the only mellow song and is very poppy, but in a good way. The song really shows off Craigs voice and has great lyrics. The song is also pretty scratchy (being recorded in Craigs Basement) but that really puts a good touch on the song
Hot Leather 8/10=Although this is the worst song on the disc, that dosent mean its not good. This is a great song and is the hardest yet. The riff is not very origonal but is good. The staticness is pretty annoying on this song and you can barely understand what there saying, but it still is really good.

The Extra Tracks Are Worth It, April 1, 2003
This review is from: Get Free (Audio CD)
Certainly, you already have the album, so you don't need another copy of Get Free. If you like The Vines when they sound Beatlish, you're going to love Down At The Club, which wouldn't have been out of place on With The Beatles. Hot Leather is somewhat typical heavy rock, but still worth owning.
