5.0 out of 5 stars Good Author
I started reading this series because I read an Alias book by Laura Peyton Roberts, A Secret Life, and thought it was one of the best Alias books ever written. Although this doesn't have the exciting adventures Sydney Bristow has, it is right on target for what real teenage life is like. After a while, I got into this book and actually began caring for the characters -...

3.0 out of 5 stars Get a Life
Recently, I read the book Get a Life, by Laura Peyton Roberts. I rated this book a 3 because the author talks about real life problems. She talked about teenage romance and a boy that has cancer. Also, she made the descriptions very detailed. On the bad side, it was too confusing. The author kept switching whom she was talking about. As a result, I didn't know who...

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Author, January 25, 2005
This review is from: Get a Life: (Clearwater Crossing, #1) (Mass Market Paperback)
I started reading this series because I read an Alias book by Laura Peyton Roberts, A Secret Life, and thought it was one of the best Alias books ever written. Although this doesn't have the exciting adventures Sydney Bristow has, it is right on target for what real teenage life is like. After a while, I got into this book and actually began caring for the characters - Jenna, Jesse, Nicole, Peter, and everyone. What I like most is how it seems close to what my high school friends and I go through. Why this is a 5? I got drawn into the story and now feel compelled to read the other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, great series, February 24, 2000
This review is from: Get a Life: (Clearwater Crossing, #1) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have to say-beware reader! You don't know what you're getting yourself into! You'll be up all night reading this book/series if you start! Trust me. This is a great book to start off a wonderful series. When you read this series, you put yourself in the positions of Jenna, Peter, Leah, Miguel, Ben, and Melanie. You can relate to all of them. So anyways-beware! (If you don't want to have a great time reading!)

5.0 out of 5 stars ADDICTIVE!, December 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Get a Life: (Clearwater Crossing, #1) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was awesome and TOTALLY addictive! It was wonderfully written and I could not put it down. Peter, Jenna, Miguel, Nicole, Jesse, Melanie, Ben, and Leah come together to work at a carnival to benefit a friend with leukemia. They are all very different and all go their seperate ways, but then a tradgedy brings them together once again. Will this friendship last? Read "Get a Life" and find out!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Thoroughly Enjoyable Book, November 5, 1998
This book, and the entire series, is great fun. I find myself unable to put them down. Here is a good story of teenage life, relationships, and romance that doesn't feel the need to fill its pages with sex and smut. The age suggested by the publisher is 12 and up. I suggest these books to anyone. I should know. I'm 20 years old, and to top it off, I'm an English major in college.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved the whole Clearwater Crossing series..., August 20, 1999
By A Customer
I unfortunately never got to read book 1, however i did read 2-9 and I think it best to comment on the whole series. The author really portrayed how teens in high school tend to be these days. I find that reading about things that are more my age level is much more interesting because the characters have most of the same views because they are high schoolers. Everytime i finish one of the books i have my mom buy the next 3 for me! The Clearwater Crossing series is great and every teen should give it a try!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clearwater Croossing is definitely worth buying!, February 12, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Get a Life: (Clearwater Crossing, #1) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have read "Get a Life" and "Reality Check" of the Clearwater Crossing series. I must say that both were very good and I am looking forward to reading #3. They were both well written and kept me enthralled. I like all the characters though some of them could use an attitude change, but still they all have heart. Leah and Miguel make a cute couple,(though sometimes it seems like they're just lusting each other). Peter, Jenna, Nicole, Jesse, Melanie, Ben, Miguel, and Leah are very intresting to read about and I highly suggest you read the Clearwater books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Only a Terrific Book-but Series, too!, January 30, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Get a Life: (Clearwater Crossing, #1) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have read all of the Clearwater Crossing Books that are out, and thought it was most appropriate to review them all at the first book. These are extremely terrific books about REAL teens, not some made-up, larger-than-life teens. They truly deal with REAL problems that we all face today. Not only do they have have problems in them-but the characters do face victories, as well. My favorite character is probably either Jenna or Nicole because I can relate to them both really, really well, despite that Nicole is a complete idiot in this book-who, by the way, does begin to get better throughout the series (if you read it-you'll know what I mean) and Jenna is the perfect girl that I know I would like to be. Each of these characters are really well developed throughout the series and you will come to know them like they are your good friends. This series is absolutely incredible and I have yet to find another just like it. Anyhow, if you are looking for a series that will make you laugh, cry, (almost) be mad w/a character, and at the same time love them, then this is the series for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book!, July 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Get a Life: (Clearwater Crossing, #1) (Mass Market Paperback)
Finally, a series teenagers can relate to that doesn't always end with everyone being friends! This book seemed so real, I couldn't put it down! The only hard part was trying to keep up with all the characters. Other than that, I strongly reccomend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Relates to today's teenagers, March 21, 1999
By A Customer
I really liked this book and the series is wonderful! I have read all eight books and I'm looking forward to the ninth one (it's not out yet)! The topics relate to today's teen and the characters actually sound like REAL teens. If you're wondering if this book is worth buying, it really IS!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is not fairy tale, it tells reality, June 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Get a Life: (Clearwater Crossing, #1) (Mass Market Paperback)
When you read books they are usually about fairy tale lives, the guy gets the girl, the girl marries her prince, ect.... But cleawater crossing books tell about real teen life. Sometimes you might find a part in the story that relates to you. Maybe it might give you advice. Cleawater crossings also are page turner books. Every page leaves you yearning for more. So far I have read 2 of these books in the Clearwater Crossings series and am eagerly awaiting to read the rest. Clearwater crossings are intruging and awesome.
