I LOVED IT because it is Vintage Funkadelics!!! The Instruments are Raw; NOTHIN Tame about it. The Funkadelics are Speaking to those Wallflowers, and Chair Occupant Dancers who need an Excuse to just GET OFF THEIR ASSES, AND JAM!!! Just Let the Music Excuse your Lack of a Partner, and Have The "Fun" you Truly Wanted To Have. I Remember People Feeling SILLY for just Watching Others Party; Laughing at their Shyness, or Fear of maybe not being a Great Dancer. So WHY did they Get Up NOW? They replied "cause the Funkadelics Said I Could Just GET OFF MY ASS AND JAM"!!! The girl at the beginning said "God...Then Laughed; getting me Passed the Fear, cause She Already Laughed at me. I survived that; so there was No Other Reason NOT to just Get Up Off My Ass, and Jam. I'd recommend this song to Everyone whose held back, and went home Wondering Why They Didn't Dance, At Least ONCE? I do Some Of my Best Jammin at home; but next time I WILL. Buy the CD, or MP3 from Amazon.com; and You WILL "GET OFF YOUR ASS AND JAM"!!!

Back when this Lp hit the market radio stations did not know what to play everything was just too funky for the airwaves. They couldn't catagorizes it, they didn't understand it. All the DJ's could do was take it home and groove all night long to it. If you ain't gonna get it on, take your dead ass home. Just a part of the lyrics you will hear on these tracks. Back then you had Tiki Fulwood on drums, talk about raw funk, man this cat could drum up a storm at the drop of a dime. Eddie "Maggot Brain" Hazel on the guitars was no slouch either.

I am not even going to get in to the cuts individually, because I love these original members so much, I would be here all night typing abiut how black rock and funk started with this band. James Brown maybe the "Godfather of soul" but Funkadelics will always be the funkiest band ever to grace America or anywhere else on the Planet. All you wanta be funky musicians need to go back and get to this, and do some homework this is funknasty.

funkadelic's wildest songs paul warren tears the guitar up on here and tiki's drumming is loud and explosive as always he's truly missed and the get opff your ass chants p funk still uses that hook at concerts eddie hazel wrote the guitar riffs and there are alternate versions where he play the lead.
