Updates my Earlier Review,
By Cocoa Puff (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: COPPER WALL TILES TRIANGLE
This updates my earlier review. Get Organized messed up my order again, but Amazon's Quality Assurance Department took charge after I completed the "Where's My Stuff?" inquiry. Although it took a while to complete the order (approximately 2 months), I was very pleased with the follow-up and outcome.Product Review: The tiles look great. I had my heart set on the Brushed Aluminum as my kitchen backsplash, set up in a diamond/diagonal pattern. However, the Black tiles arrived several weeks before the Brushed Aluminum, so I eventually decided to go with the Black tiles in a square pattern. They have a high gloss finish and I was amazed at how great they looked! As other reviews state, it is definitely best to not only use the self-adhesive tabs that come with the tiles, but to also apply construction adhesive for additional support. Trust me, I did this project last summer and the tiles in which I only used the self-adhesive tabs on have all come loose! Buy additional double-sided tape from the 99-cent store to have on hand - I added this additional tape to the center of each tile. As for the construction adhesive, I found that Red Devil Construction Adhesive was easier to squeeze out of the tube for this project. Liquid Nails Construction Adhesive became difficult to squeeze out over extended periods of time. Both items cost less than $3.00. I paid $2.49 for Red Devil at the Family Dollar Store, and Liquid Nails for $1.99 at Home Depot. My hands were sore for weeks from having to cut some of the tiles with scissors. I cut smaller pieces to fit in narrow corners, and although they initially looked fine, they are currently looking distorted (like they've been twisted at both ends). I'm currently searching for a solution to the corner issue. Also, I should mention that some of the tiles arrived slightly damaged (bent and/or scrape marks), but there were enough undamaged tiles that it did not affect my project. Once the Brushed Aluminum tiles arrived several weeks later, I had the "bright idea" to rip down the black tiles directly behind the stove and replace with the Brushed Aluminum in a diamond/diagonal pattern (since I had my heart set on the Brushed Aluminum for so long). Big mistake. It does not look nearly as good. For starters, the Brushed Aluminum has a dull finish, while the Black tiles really pop and give a sleek finish. In addition, setting up the diamond/diagonal pattern is far more difficult than the square pattern. However, I also used the Brush Aluminum tiles to update the look of my portable kitchen island, and it looks absolutely fabulous! I wish that Amazon carried the other colors that these tiles come in - Chrome and Almond (Cream). I received samples of these directly from the manufacturer, and they look very nice. The initial kitchen (Black tile) backsplash project took an entire weekend and still looks awesome. The "Behind-the-Stove Brushed Aluminum diamond pattern project" took 2 weekends, and required a lot of intricate cuts to fit. It looks okay, but it was way too time consuming. I would definitely order this product again!

I ordered the triangles and the squares in order to do the diamond pattern. It looks great people cant believe how much I paid. I did use liquid nails along with the double sided tape. The liquid nails made the tiles feel more solid. Great product in my opinion.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Brushed Copper Triangle Metal Wall Tiles
My wife and I purchased these to replace some faux brick that use to be the backsplash in our kitchen. After tearing out the brick the sheetrock was ruined behind, so we nailed up some 1/4 inch hardboard right over the top of the sheetrock so these tiles would have a nice clean surface to stick too. We did purchase extra 2-sided sticky tabs to put on these tiles to make sure they would stay up. many people said that they glued them on. We thought that with the extra sticky tape that if they fell off after awhile we would just glue them up as they fell off. So far it has been about 3 months and none have fallen off yet. These tiles are very easy to cut with household scissors, as we put ours up in the diamond pattern and had to cut lots of them at the top where they met the cabinets. The hardest part for us was in the diamond pattern the squares have different shades to them depending on which way the grain is going, so we did an alternating pattern with the grain much in the way that the manufactures picture looks. Overall satisfied with this product
