Updates my Earlier Review,

This updates my earlier review. Get Organized messed up my order again, but Amazon's Quality Assurance Department took charge after I completed the "Where's My Stuff?" inquiry. Although it took a while to complete the order (approximately 2 months), I was very pleased with the follow-up and outcome.
Product Review: The tiles look great. I had my heart set on the Brushed Aluminum as my kitchen backsplash, set up in a diamond/diagonal pattern. However, the Black tiles arrived several weeks before the Brushed Aluminum, so I eventually decided to go with the Black tiles in a square pattern. They have a high gloss finish and I was amazed at how great they looked! As other reviews state, it is definitely best to not only use the self-adhesive tabs that come with the tiles, but to also apply construction adhesive for additional support. Trust me, I did this project last summer and the tiles in which I only used the self-adhesive tabs on have all come loose! Buy additional double-sided tape from the 99-cent store to have on hand - I added this additional tape to the center of each tile. As for the construction adhesive, I found that Red Devil Construction Adhesive was easier to squeeze out of the tube for this project. Liquid Nails Construction Adhesive became difficult to squeeze out over extended periods of time. Both items cost less than $3.00. I paid $2.49 for Red Devil at the Family Dollar Store, and Liquid Nails for $1.99 at Home Depot. My hands were sore for weeks from having to cut some of the tiles with scissors. I cut smaller pieces to fit in narrow corners, and although they initially looked fine, they are currently looking distorted (like they've been twisted at both ends). I'm currently searching for a solution to the corner issue. Also, I should mention that some of the tiles arrived slightly damaged (bent and/or scrape marks), but there were enough undamaged tiles that it did not affect my project. Once the Brushed Aluminum tiles arrived several weeks later, I had the "bright idea" to rip down the black tiles directly behind the stove and replace with the Brushed Aluminum in a diamond/diagonal pattern (since I had my heart set on the Brushed Aluminum for so long). Big mistake. It does not look nearly as good. For starters, the Brushed Aluminum has a dull finish, while the Black tiles really pop and give a sleek finish. In addition, setting up the diamond/diagonal pattern is far more difficult than the square pattern. However, I also used the Brush Aluminum tiles to update the look of my portable kitchen island, and it looks absolutely fabulous! I wish that Amazon carried the other colors that these tiles come in - Chrome and Almond (Cream). I received samples of these directly from the manufacturer, and they look very nice. The initial kitchen (Black tile) backsplash project took an entire weekend and still looks awesome. The "Behind-the-Stove Brushed Aluminum diamond pattern project" took 2 weekends, and required a lot of intricate cuts to fit. It looks okay, but it was way too time consuming. I would definitely order this product again!

I ordered the triangles and the squares in order to do the diamond pattern. It looks great people cant believe how much I paid. I did use liquid nails along with the double sided tape. The liquid nails made the tiles feel more solid. Great product in my opinion.

My wife and I purchased these to replace some faux brick that use to be the backsplash in our kitchen. After tearing out the brick the sheetrock was ruined behind, so we nailed up some 1/4 inch hardboard right over the top of the sheetrock so these tiles would have a nice clean surface to stick too. We did purchase extra 2-sided sticky tabs to put on these tiles to make sure they would stay up. many people said that they glued them on. We thought that with the extra sticky tape that if they fell off after awhile we would just glue them up as they fell off. So far it has been about 3 months and none have fallen off yet.
These tiles are very easy to cut with household scissors, as we put ours up in the diamond pattern and had to cut lots of them at the top where they met the cabinets. The hardest part for us was in the diamond pattern the squares have different shades to them depending on which way the grain is going, so we did an alternating pattern with the grain much in the way that the manufactures picture looks. Overall satisfied with this product

make sure to buy square tiles in addition to triangles because these are half squares used for trim. I corrected my error, purchased the square copper tiles to add to my triangle, and used both. However, I needed them for a kitchen counter. After reading that one person got good results on the top of her island, I went for it and covered my kitchen counter using silicone clear liquid nails adhesive because of the wet surroundings. The adhesive strips that come with the tiles were not used at all. Well, the counter is absolutely beautiful and does not tarnish or stain. I am so pleased I invested the time and effort because this was easy, inexpensive and looks absolutely beautiful. You will not be disappointed, and the company tries hard to please clients. What a refreshing difference from most products and companies that are so cheap and useless nowadays. This product and company are excellent!

We ordered aluminum brushed tiles & triangles. They arrived a day early, but we were sent black triangles. We ordered the products with enough time to finish a project before a scheduled event at our home. The rep first tried to say we ordered black & not aluminum, but our order forms & invoice stated aluminum. This was a shipping error, not a purchasing error. I was told they would be sent out within a day & she'd express it so we'd get them by week's end. Nothing Fri, Sat or today (Monday). Called & spoke with man who said they went out on Thursday, due to be delivered in 2 more days. Sent out 3 days later than we were told & they will be delivered almost 10 days after our call. The new order did state express (express is not 7 days from PA to OH) and he laughed saying he couldn't explain the delay. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, he hung up. I then called back several times, getting no answer or being thrown on hold. Finally given to someone's voice mail to leave a message, but do not know if they are actually a supervisor and if our call will be returned. The customer service at Taylor Gifts is horrible! Good turn around getting initial orders out, but when they make the mistake there is no need to satisfy the customer or correct what was done wrong quickly. They do not represent Amazon.com well at all.

This is a duplicate review since I purchased both the aluminum squares AND triangles for a backsplash in my kitchen. I read the other reviews about adding some glue or mortar in addition to the adhesive tabs as backup and ended up putting a drop of Krazy Glue on every tile just to be on the safe side. I'll re-write this review if I hear the tiles popping off in the night.
I also agree with the reviews that, while the tiles are thin and easy to cut with kitchen scissors, the edges are incredibly sharp. I ended up with numerous slices on nearly every one of my fingers merely from holding the edges while trying to maneuver the tiles into place. Finger slices from metal are no fun, so use caution--or maybe even wear thin latex gloves when putting these up (though it's possible the metal will cut through those, too). All-in-all, this was an extremely easy project, with some extra time needed to cut tiles to fit into corners or awkward spaces. Highly recommended!

my husband & i bought square tiles last year when we remodeled our house. our cabinets have frosted glass doors trimmed in aluminum, out countertops are a silver metallic solid surface material and our bottom cabinets are gloss white...after looking at lots of backsplash options (glass, concrete, reg. tiles, etc.) we decided to try these aluminum tiles (square) and they are amazing. we did the backsplash and then decided to do an entire kitchen wall floor to ceil and it is amazing...when you tell people you did it yourself and how inexpensive it was they will be shocked...recently i ordered more tiles to replace some that were dented and i mistakenly ordered the triangles, i was going to send them back but they i decided to use them on our front door as a kick plate. i used four triangles each to make a 5 big squares...the dimentions were perfect for our door and it looks perfect, neat and clean. i love these things and will use them for other projects...if you don't like them you can take them down but at least give them a try

Bought about 3 sets of the brushed silver/stainless steel looking square tile sets & put them all around my kitchen back splash & they look so good & were so so easy & fun to put up! They look way more expensive than they really were! My mother loves them so much she is buying her some!

My kitchen look awesome and I did it. Most of my guests think a capenter did it. I took the advice of the other reviews and purchase back splash two-sided tape and I also used the tape that came with the tile. It will stay up until I take it down. It is great product to hide damaged walls. I love my kitchen

Redid my kitchen backsplash with the brushed aluminum tiles to coordinate with my new black quartz countertops. Very attractive, easy to install, easy to cut to size and a good value overall. If you are going to install them "permanently," I would suggest using liquid nails or something more permanent than the adhesive strips that are included.
