I was surprised at how well the Banana Holder seems to work. We put a cut banana into it, and the next day, it was still blemish-free. I don't think the banana was exactly in its original state, but its deterioration was minor.

Ok, so it was cheap. That's why I thought I'd try it. It did keep the browning to a minimum but I still had to cut the end off the banana anyway and cleaning it after was kind of gross.

Neat for half a banana eaters. It's a clever gadget and although it doesn't keep the end from turning brown, it keeps it from drying out and from attracting insects so I gave this 4 stars.

Saw this in the store and was very excited to use it. My son loves bananas, but usually only eats half at a time. I thought the banana saver would be a cleaner way to store the uneaten half. I didn't really see how this kept the banana from getting brown, and you have to make sure to clean cut the end, which isn't always easy when your child wants to peel and eat the banana on their own. Also I found cleaning it to be difficult, it took quite a bit of work to get all the banana slime out of the cracks.

I always had trouble holding my bananas before but no more! With this my bananas are safe within reach 24 hours a day seven days a week no more nasty banana peel hijinks for me.

This is one of those brilliant ideas that everyone needs but large manufacturers can't make enough money with it to waste time selling. Thank you to the person who did. I wish I'd had this years ago. But I do now so Woo Hoo for my Nana Saver!! Give one to the person who has everything. I'll bet they don't have one of these!!

I eat half a banana per day. Since the Nana Saver was so low priced, I 'invested' in one. Nice in concept. And it does zero to keep the end from turning brown. Gross to clean. If it seems too good to be true; I guess it is! At least in this case!

Does the job well for small and medium sized bananas. Doesn't fit larger bananas so the tops still get brown. If it fits the bananas though, it really does keep the banana from getting brown and mushy.
