For $14.95 I thought I'd take a chance on this - at the time I ordered it there were no reviews on Amazon. I agree with the other two reviews. It won't stay in my ear but even when I hold it in, it doesn't help at all - the only thing it really seems to amplify is my own voice. If you need something for TV or the theatre, try TV ears - which works great though it needs to be hooked up to your tv or compatible with the theater's sound system - it works very well in most Broadway theaters by clarifying as well as amplifying speech.

This thing is a piece of trash. It does not work like the commercial claims. You can barely hear with it. It is made out of very cheap and easily breakable plastic. Don't buy this product!

I would've rated this device a zero if I could have; an elderly friend has one and it never worked well, never fit well. Don't bother.

Purchased this for my mother. It really doesn't work very well, and isn't as comfortable on her ear as shown in the commercial. Doesn't have the range to really pick up things. If you shout, you can hear through it. A very poor product.

I should have listened to the other reviews that said this product was junk. Lots of static,poor reception. I wanted it primarily for watching TV , but if I turn the TV low (my husband sleeping upstairs) I can't then adjust the device so tha I can hear it comfortably. I returned it and ACTUALLY got a refund!!! Lesson of the story:....If you want the Quality you have to go the Bucks!!!

Reading reviews of this item I wasn't expecting too much but what I received pleased me.......it isn't a hearing aid but it does enhance sound so when I'm in a meeting I don't have to have everything repeated.

It works to a degree. You have to angle it just right fool with the volume a lot and then it might just work. As a teacher, I wanted to hear what my students were saying who were far from me--didn't happen. Since I only paid about $10 for it I figured that I got what I paid for.....

It doesn't cost very much, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I tried to use it to hear the tv--no luck. In fact it doesn't work worth a darn. If you want to waste money, take the cash and light a cigar (or your barbeque grill if you're not a smoker). You'll get more out of it. This product is absolutely worthless. I should have heeded the warnings in the reviews before I bought this piece of trash. Shame on me...

This item is junk. I bought this for my uncle who's having hearing problem, with the hope that he can watch TV without turning up the volume. But it does not really improve his hearing. I tried it myself and could hear that the sound got amplified but so did AMBIENT NOISE. The feedback was quite bad that I could hear my own breathing. It's difficult to conduct a normal conversation wearing this device.
