I bought this product for $6.98, so I didn't expect it to be of tremendously high quality. And it isn't. Still, it does what it is supposed to do. The magnet works very well. It's not too strong, so when you need to shut the door, it's not necessary to pull very hard. At the same time, it certainly keeps the door open (although, I use it on an inside room, so there are no strong gusts of wind to blow it shut).

It was fairly easy to install, but I discovered that the screws the company includes with the unit are very cheap--the heads of the screws got stripped pretty easily and I had a little bit of difficulty screwing them all the way in. You need to be careful.

Overall, I'm satisfied, but if you use this unit in a conspicuous place where looks matter, you may want to got with a more expensive option.

For the life of our house, we've been plagued by a master bedroom door that doesn't stay open by itself. So, for years we used an ugly plastic doorstop to keep the door open.

It was a minor annoyance, but worked fine -- except when my parents were babysitting and they didn't prop the door open...thereby trapping the cat inside for hours and forcing him to resort to peeing repeatedly in the master bath.

If only I'd have had this doorstop earlier! It works great, is attractive, and relatively easy to install.

The device works, but the brass finish was poorly done with light spots showing through.

The magnetic door stop is a great product. It looks nice and is very easy to install. It is well worth the money. Looks classy and really has quite a magnetic pull. I had no problems with Amazon.com, it was the company that ships them (short-changed me on the quantity, then after my contacting them, it took another 3 weeks to get the remaining items).

I had a door that kept wanting to close on it's own, but with this magnetic door stopper, this fixed the problem. I think it is great!

These work great at keeping my doors open. They are fairly easy to install. The magnet is very strong. Some reviews state that the magnet is not that strong, but I have to give mine a good tug to pull it away from the magnet. (I have it on regular wood doors). The door in my laundry room has a rack of things hanging behind it and the door stopper holds everything back. I would recommend them.

We have used these magnetic door stops on several doors, including one that is an outside door and they work perfectly. We really like them a lot!

These are very good looking and do a great job if you have doors that like to swing from the full open position. You have to be careful installing them to have the pieces line up perfectly and that is a little tough since they come togeter behind the door. I did it so it can be done.
