An award-winning teacher and writer, Judy Molland has keenly observed and actively participated in the world of education for over twenty-five years, both in the U.S. and in her native England. She holds a B.A. Honors degree from the University of Hull, U.K., and a Diploma in Education from the University of London. A chance meeting with an editor at Parents magazine in New York resulted in a freelance assignment on teaching tolerance to young children. To her delight, Judy discovered that she loved writing about education, and this led to her pursuing a combined career of teacher/writer. She has published numerous articles, and 2007 saw the publication of her first book, Straight Talk About Schools Today. An avid skier, backpacker, hiker and rock climber, Judy is excited to share her passion for the outdoors in her second book, Get Out! 150 Easy Ways for Kids and Grown-Ups to Get Into Nature and Build a Greener Future.
