Elizabeth Lambert vs. Philip Hall,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Get Out of Here, Philip Hall (School & Library Binding)
This book is about a "perfect" girl who wants to win a contest and her crush and sometimes enemy enters too and she looses against him. Later she makes a plan to "try" to get back at him for beating her in the Abner Jerome Brady Leadership Award Competition. The sequel to this book was awarded the Newbery Honor Book. And Summer of My German Soldier, another book by Bette Greene was honored with the National Book Award. I would give this book two out of 10 stars. And I would recommend this book to people who like multicultural style books. I liked this book because Elizabeth, the main character, is sort of like how I use to be. I wanted to be good at everything but found out it was impossible to be perfect at EVERYTHING.
